Abstract

PURPOSE:To attach ink to the tip face of a wire stably by arranging an ink guide member having a groove for connecting a clearance with a wire guide and an ink tank and filling an ink-absorbable porous material. CONSTITUTION:When a coil 9 is energized, a plunger 7 facing a coil core 8 is attracted to turn a clapper 6 fastened on the plunger 7 so that a wire 1 engaged at the tip thereof sticks out. The wire tip surface puts ink thereon piercing an ink meniscus and hits a recording paper to transfer ink onto the recording paper. At the standby state of the wire, as the tip face of the wire 1 is located inward from the end face of a wire guide 3 while the ink meniscus is formed in front of the wire tip surface, ink is attached to the wire tip surface sequentially with the driving in or out of the wire 1. An excess ink at the front of the wire guide 3 is drawn into a recovery groove by a capillary action.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] Technical Field> 11 The present invention is a method of drawing figures, characters, etc. by colliding a wire gold recording paper with ink adhered to the tip thereof to transfer the ink onto the paper and forming dots. This invention relates to an ink dot printer plotter head. More specifically, the present invention relates to the structure of an ink guide section that guides ink from an ink tank to a wire tip.

<Prior art> As seen in US Pat. No. 4.194.846, a method for supplying ink from an ink tank to the tip of a wire involves guiding ink from the tank using a member made of a porous material that has ink absorbing properties, and then passing the wire through the porous material. A method of configuring it so as to penetrate through the material is known. In this method, the diameters of the micropores that form the porous material are distributed within a certain range and are not uniform, resulting in large individual differences in ink absorption and variations in the amount of ink retained near the tip of the wire. fat fool p
However, it was unstable because the dimensions of the porous material were likely to change or deform due to interaction with the side surface of the wire. This has the disadvantage that the dot density becomes unstable.

2- Also, as seen in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 57-82989, a gap is formed by overlapping plate-shaped guides near the tip of the wire, and this is used as an ink reservoir, and ink from an ink tank is supplied to this ink reservoir gap by a pump. A method is also known in which the tip of the wire passing through this area is also supplied using capillary force. In this method, the structure of the joint between the pump and the head is complicated, which increases costs. Also, in order to obtain sufficient pump performance, sufficient sealing is required, and a drive source with high torque is required to drive the pump. It had the following drawbacks. (In the case of multicolor heads, the structure is particularly complicated)) It has been difficult to apply this method to small heads.

The tip end surface of the wire pierces the ink menscus, causes ink to adhere to the tip end surface, and collides with the recording paper, so that the ink is transferred to the recording paper. In the wire standby state, the distal end surface of the wire 1 is located inside the end surface of the wire guide 8, and an ink menscus is formed in front of the wire distal end surface, so that ink sequentially adheres to the wire distal end surface as the wire moves in and out. Note that the excess ink on the front surface of the wire guide 8 is drawn into the collection groove 3b by capillary force, and therefore flows back to the ink supply guide 2 without overflowing and staining the recording paper.

In the above head structure, the mesh of the porous material 20 filled in the ink guiding groove 2a from the ink tanks 4 to 6 to the wire guide 3 is appropriately selected to exert an appropriate capillary action to prevent ink from overflowing. Ink can be guided and supplied to the ink reservoir gap in an amount required for printing. Further, the gap between the wire guide 8 and the ink supply guide 2 can be dimensioned so that the ink supply function and the ink retention function are performed by capillary action. The dimensions of the vicinity of the tip of the wire that has the ink retention function depend on the shape accuracy of the parts, but since the component parts have shapes that can be easily processed with high precision by molding etc., the precision is high in the head structure of the present invention. Has stable ink retention ability. ) It is also easy to assemble because it consists of a small number of parts. Furthermore, due to the lubricating effect of the ink, there is no wear and deformation even after long-term operation, and the initial performance is maintained over a long period of time.
