Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the grinding/polishing performance and to protect the polishing face from flaw by adhering polishing clothes onto the outercircumferential face of rotary member while shifting by predetermined length and applying said clothes while overlapping along the outercircumference of rotary member. CONSTITUTION:When grinding/polishing an object by means of a polishing wheel 21, only the abrasive grain face section 25a of polishing cloth 25 will contact continuously against the object and the basic material such as cloth or paper will never contact against the object because the polishing cloth 25 is adhered along the outercircumferential face 24 of rotary member 23, thereby the object is never scratched to improve the polishing/grinding performance considerably. During grinding/polishing, the polishing cloth 25 is heated through friction but since each cloth 25 is overlapped with specific angle, a small gap is formed between the polishing clothes 25 to flow air thus to cool the polishing cloth 25 resulting in improvement of polishing performance.

態で当接するので、ワークに傷がつくという問題があっ

等の基材も被研磨物に当接するので、研削′fyf磨性
の大幅な向上は期待できない。そこでその改良として第
5図乃至第7図に示す如き研磨ホイール(9)が提供さ

材が被研磨物に当接するので、研削研磨性もそれほど良
くないという問題があった。
