本発明は鋼管やビレット等大径材を分割切断するために

削時間を増加できずしかも切断所要時間は材料径によっ
てほぼ1定していることから能率よく切断することがで
きなかった。又、大径錠刃を用いる鏡刃機は大きな鋸刃
回転トルクを必要とするため伝動装置を含めた装置全体
が大型となり、設備が極めて高価となる欠点があった。
本発明は上記した従来装置の欠点を徐去するためになさ
れたもので、丸鋸刃を備えた2組の切断装置を両鋸刃が
対向するよう機台上に摺動支持し、且つ、少なくとも一
方の切断装置をしてその鋸刃が機台中央を越えて移動可
能とした鏡断器とすることによって1鋸刃でおおむね切
断材の半寸の切断を受け持つようになし、切断装置を大
型なものとすることなくして分割切断することができる
