PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism of a print card and also to protect assuredly the memory contents by providing a connector for connection with a backup power supply at the opposite side to a side where the device side connector of the print card is set. CONSTITUTION:The power is usually supplied to a print card 1 containing an IC memory from a connector 2. When the power supply is cut off, a battery holder 4 is previously connected to a connector 5 set at the side of the opposite side 7 to a side 6 of the card 1 where the connector is provided before the power supply is cut off. Therefore the power supply is backed up by a battery 3 and the memory contents are never volatilized even though the power supply is stopped from the connector 2. The memory contents are not volatilized either even when the card 1 is carried as long as the holder 4 is connected. Furthermore the power supply can be backed up by another external battery since the connector 5 is set at the opposite side 7.
