Two sliding door shojis with a turnable door roller attached to the lower end of each shoji are arranged so that they can be slid back and forth within the door frame, and a slide bar is interposed between the corresponding horizontal frames of the adjacent sliding door shoji. Guides provided on both sides of the slide bar in the longitudinal direction are slidably fitted into guide grooves integrally formed on the opposing sides of the corresponding horizontal stile, while the guides provided on either side of the door frame are slidably fitted. A sliding door device in which one end of a rotating shoji frame is pivoted to the indoor or outdoor end of a formwork, and an indoor or outdoor sliding door shoji is fixed to the rotating shoji frame.
