Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniform a bonded layer by forming a ring projection part to an adhered face of a disc base of a spacer of an information recording medium of the air sandwich structure and bonding the part wth the ultrasonic wave welding method so as to reduce the bonding time. CONSTITUTION:The plastic spacers 3, 3' provided with the projection 5 are clipped between plastic bases 1, 1' having recording layers 2, 2', fixed to a base 7 of an ultrasonic wave welder 6 and pressed while a horn 8 is depressed. In oscillating an ultrasonic wave in this state, heat due to friction is concentrated on the projection 5, which is molten so as to be bonded with the bases 1, 1'. Since the thickness of the molten bonded part and the bonded area are controlled freely, the bonding layer with uniform thickness without uneven bonding is formed.

んで固定した後、上部からディスクとほぼ同じ−か、よ
り大きな径を有するホーン8を押し付は加圧する。この
状態で超音波を発振するとスペーサ3および3’に形成
された突起5に摩擦熱が集中し突起5が溶けることによ
りディスク基板1および1′との接合が可能となる。こ
の結果構造的には前記のように接合方法が異なるのみで
第1図と同様となる。この際の溶着接合部の厚みや接合
面積は、前記突起部5の大きさおよび超音波溶着機6の
振幅や加圧力の増減により自由にコントロールすること
ができる為、接着むらのない均一な厚さの接合層を形成
することが可能である。
