[従来技術]
従来の金属製エンドレスバンドの製造方法は、所定の拐
負の金属塊ぺ鍛造して第1図に示づ如くパイプ材10a
を形成し機械加工により切削し、第2図に示されるよう
な所定の肉厚の円筒形状のパイプ材10bに切削し、該
パイプ材10bを回転させながら外周面上に工具を押し
付け、第3図に示す如く所定の外形にしぼり成型づるス
ピニング加工により薄肉パイプ材10cを製造し、この
薄肉パイプ材10cを旋盤のチャックに固着し、回転さ
けイエから両側から円板状のカッターを押しく・月Jて
切断Jるスリッタ加工にJ、り第4図に示刀如く断面ン
、1]形の環状線材10dを製造し、つぎに第5図に示
J如く圧延成形ロール30と、該ロール30の押えロー
ル40と、該圧延成形ロール30と平行で、圧延成形ロ
ール30との軸間の距離Lを可変可能に支持され、高精
度直径を有するテンションロール50とからなる圧延加
工装置60により常に一定テンションのかかった状態に
しておきながら回動せしめて圧延成形ロール30と押え
ロール40により押しつぶしで長さと巾を延ばす圧延と
同時にストレップ加工で長さを伸ばし巾を縮めるストレ
ップ成形作業をして第6図に示すごとく所定の厚さおよ
び周長に仕上げ、金属製エンドレスバンド10cを製造
し、さらにエッジへの応力集中を分散して金属疲労強度
を向上させる目的と、エッジによる周面部分の損傷を防
止するため両端面11を研削により円弧状に加工して第
7図に示すごとく断面の両端が滑らかな金属製エンドレ
スバンド10fを製造していた。このため加工工程が多
く製造コストが高くなり、とくにこの両端面11の加工
は研磨機で両端面全周を研削する必要があるため加工に
