Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain a 2CHDVE interlocking effect due to an external waveform by providing a digital special effect generation (DVE) device to both channel video inputs of a video mixing amplifier and applying a wipe waveform with different waveform from a waveform generator thereto. CONSTITUTION:The video signal fed to an input terminal 1 or 2 is given respectively to DVE device 4, 4', where the signal is reduced into the size of the wipe waveform from the waveform generator 9 and the result is fed to a video mixing amplifier 8, which wipes the two supplied video signals by using the wipe waveform from the waveform generator 9 and gives the result to an output terminal 10. The wipe waveform fed from the waveform generator 9 to the DVE devices 4, 4' is subject to the control of inversion or non-inversion by a control signal from the DVE interlocking logic 7 (information in fadar direction or wipe direction) and the wipe waveform with different polarity is fed to the two sets of DVE devices. Thus, the 2CHDVE interlocking effect by means of an external waveform is obtained.
