に向けて投射しその第２の移動車両からの反射波を受波
する超音波送受波器およびこの超音波送受波器を制御す
る制御回路を有する超音波式車両検知装置において、前
記第２の移動車両からの反射波を計数する第１のカウン
タと、この第１のカウンタの第１および第２の出力によ
ってそれぞれセットおよびリセットされるフリップフロ
ップと、このフリップフロップの出力と所定の基準周波
数を発振する発振器の出力との論理積出力を計数する第
２のカウンタとを備え、前記第２のカウンタの受波超音
波信号のうち予め設定した所定波数の計数時間が投射超
音波信号の前記所定波数を計数するに要する時間より短
かいとき前記超音波送受波器へ車両が接近しつつあると
いう判定出力を送出し、前記判定出力に基き前記第１の
移動車両の運転者に警報を発するようになし前記第１の
カウンタの第３の出力が存在しないとき判定出力を送出
しないよう構成し、かつ前記第１の移動車両に接近し追
抜く第２の移動車両を検出し第１の移動車両の運転者に
警報を発するよう構成したことを特徴とする超音波追抜
