Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to transfer a pattern abound in variety or coloration to a workpiece to be coated, in diffusively developing a coating material on the surface of water, by using several kinds of paints or paint reservoirs. CONSTITUTION:Paints of different colors diluted with various solvents to make the degrees of diffusion on the surface of water different from each other are continuously dropped from paint supply means 3-6 onto the first surface 8 of water for reserving paint, to form a paint film. By opening the first gate 7 for a predetermined time under this condition, the predetermined amount of the paint film is supplied onto the second surface 10 of water for reserving paint. By closing the first gate 7 and then opening the second gate 9, the paints on the surface 2 of water for drawing a pattern is spontaneously diffused. Hence, the paint having a high diffusion speed is spread to a wide area, while the paint having a slow one is moved as small lumps mounting on the paint having the high diffusion speed. Thus, a colorfull pattern abound in variety is formed. Then, the patterns are transferred onto the surface of a building board by dipping said plate therein.

[Background technology] Conventionally, there are various methods for painting, surface decoration, or patterning architectural boards, such as spray methods and transfer sheet methods, but the spray method has limitations in pattern expression. This was inappropriate as a method for expressing woodgrain patterns. Furthermore, although any pattern can be expressed by printing using a transfer sheet method, the same pattern is repeated, and there is no change in the pattern, so the image quality cannot be erased. A possible solution to these drawbacks is to employ a water surface transfer method.

This water surface transfer method is a method of applying coating or patterning to the surface of a construction board, etc. by diffusing paint on the water surface due to its surface tension and scooping it up with an object to be painted.

More specifically, a water tank is prepared, and a coating material (eg, ink, paint) is dropped onto the water surface in the water tank, and is spread on the water surface to form a thin film. If necessary, the pattern of the coating material on the water surface can be changed by disturbing the water surface. Thereafter, the object to be coated is immersed at a constant angle to the water surface. In this case, the surface of the object to be coated is facing downward. In this way, the pattern of the coating material on the water surface adheres to the surface of the object to be painted, and the pattern is transferred.

According to this method, a decorative architectural board can be obtained that is given a pattern with variations that cannot be produced by the spray method. This method forms a pattern on the surface of the water and transfers it onto an object to be painted, such as a building board, so it has the advantage that although it is similar in each repeated example, a pattern with a different taste is always expressed.

However, in the water surface transfer method, patterns are expressed only by the shading of a single color, so there is a drawback that there is a lack of so-called variety in patterns.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a water surface transfer device used in the present invention. As is clear from this figure, in the present invention, a plurality of weirs are provided on the water surface of the water tank used for water surface transfer, and a plurality of compartments are arranged adjacent to each other to form a first, second, etc. paint reservoir. The water surface transfer device is divided into a water surface and a pattern-designed water surface. The number of paint reservoir surfaces is not limited. This will be explained in detail below.

The paint supply device 3.4.5.6 is installed above the surface of the first paint reservoir and is capable of continuously dropping paints of various colors diluted with various solvents. The multiple types of paints used here should not be completely compatible with each other. The second paint reservoir surface is a water surface that stores a certain amount of the paint floating on the first paint reservoir surface for use in the patterned 4J. The pattern design water surface is a water surface for designing a pattern by diffusing a certain amount of paint in the second paint reservoir water and patterning the architectural board by impregnating the base material. When a comb-shaped weir 11 is provided on the water surface, the paint that is being diffused spreads out from the slits of the comb-shaped weir 11 in the form of ripples. FIG. 2 is a plan view showing this state. In the present invention, the comb-shaped weir 11 is not essential, and rather, the feature becomes more apparent when it is not used, but if necessary, it is possible to provide it to diversify the pattern.

In the above device, first, paints of different colors diluted with various solvents and having different degrees of diffusion on the water surface are continuously dropped onto the first paint reservoir surface to form a paint film. . In this case, each paint may be unevenly distributed on the first paint reservoir surface, but since movement such as spreading and repulsion of the paint occurs actively, the distribution becomes approximately uniform. In this state, the first weir is left open for a certain period of time to supply a certain amount of paint film onto the second paint reservoir surface.

After the first weir is closed, the second weir is opened, and the paint on the first paint reservoir water surface is freely diffused onto the pattern-designed water surface. As a result, the paint with a fast diffusion rate spreads widely, and the paint with a slow diffusion rate stays in small lumps and moves along with the paint with a fast diffusion rate.

As described above, various patterns can be produced by changing the diffusion rate of the paint initially supplied. The coating film thus diffused on the surface of the patterned water is transferred to the surface of the architectural board by dipping the architectural board.

Although the paint supply device differs depending on the area of each paint reservoir surface and the area of the pattern-designed water surface, it is desirable that the paint film thickness on the pattern-designed water surface be 10 or less.
