信号を発生させるに際し、文字画像を構成する画線の主
要な方向成分である横および縦方向に対して所定の傾斜
角を持たせた各走査線によって順次読出し走査を行なう
ようにした文字信号発生器における画像走査装置におい
て、出力信号のオン状態期間およびオフ状態期間の各々
が夫々ｌ ：２：３：〜：ｎ（ｎは整数）の比率で順次
増減して行くように設けた矩形波信号発生部７１と、該
矩形波信号発生部から供給される信号の状態に応じて、
夫々所定の増加率および減少率で出力レベルが変化する
鋸歯状波信号発生部７３と、前記矩形波信号発生部から
信号が供給される毎に段階状に適宜弯化する２種類の信
号を発生する段階状信号発生部７５と、 ゛ 予じめ設定されている２つの値と前記矩形波信
号発生部から供給される信号の計数値とを比較して、前
記矩形波信号発生部および段階状信号発生部の信号出力
モードを切換える切換回路７６と、を具備し、前記段階
状信号発生部から出力される２種類の各信号と前記鋸歯
状波信号発生部から出力される信号との各加算信号を水
平偏向信号および垂直偏向信号として所望領域を所定の
傾斜角で走査するようにした事を特徴とする文字信号発
