第2図に示すように高温の熱を熱感知板17が感知し低
温融解はんだが溶融して該感知板17をバルブガイド室
8の下端傘状取付部20から落下させると同時に、バル
ブステム15がばね14の弾発力によってバルブガイド
室8から下方にとび出るとともに、これと一体的に形成
されている弁体10も自動的に下降しバルブ本体7の噴
出孔12を開放して、消火剤2を噴出管9から噴出させ
るものであるが、その際弁体10の弁頭11は截頭円錐
形状となしたため通常時にはよくバルブ本体7の噴出孔
12内に進入して弁頭が弁座に密接して消火剤の漏洩を
防止するとともに火災発生時には熱感知板17は下方に
向って拡大する傘状体となしたため極めて吸熱性大とな
り、更に一旦弁体10が下方に押下けられたときにもバ
ルブステム15のOリング16をばね受鍔13によって
強力に下方に押付けて、ステム貫通孔をシールして消火
剤の漏洩を完全に防止できる効果を奏するものであって
、従来のような複雑な構成によることなく、シかも経済
的に安価に吊下げ式自動消火装置が得られるものである
