PURPOSE:To improve the sealing properties and durability by a structure wherein an elastic member is formed at a portion corresponding to the underside of a hot plug being installed when a gasket is assembled in an combustion sub- chamber type internal combustion engine with the hot plug inserted in the lower part of a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:A combustion sub-chamber type internal combustion engine has a cylinder head 1, into a combustion chamber hole open on the underside of which a hot plug 2 is fitted in order to form an air passage hole 3 and combustion sub-chamber 4, while a cylinder head gasket 10 is arranged between the cylinder head 1 and a cylinder body 25. In this case, an elastic part 18 is formed on the intermediate plate C of the cylinder head gasket 10 at a portion corresponding to the installation position of a hot plug 2 to form the combustion sub-chamber 4. The elastic part 18 is formed by providing, for example, bead- like irredgularities 19.
