Claims

A two-phase brushless motor in which a two-phase drive coil is wound around the 2a salient poles of a stator core having 2a salient poles, and a permanent magnet rotor having 2n magnetic poles is opposed to the salient poles of the stator core. The 2n magnetic poles of the permanent magnet rotor have a main pole and a commutative pole, and the boundary of each magnetic pole is made to coincide with the slot direction of the salient pole, and at least the width of the commutative pole is sequentially narrowed in the rotation direction.
