In order to get this catheter to the target site in the body,
Although various different methods have been proposed, generally a guiding thread is used to guide the catheter to the target site while manipulating the tip of the catheter. After the catheter reaches the target site, the guide thread is removed and a contrast agent is injected.
Various tests are performed depending on the purpose of the catheter, such as blood pressure measurement and temperature measurement.

However, it is generally difficult to keep the catheter fixed at all target sites, and especially in blood vessels and organs, the catheter settings are unstable due to the influence of blood or fluid flow within the organ. . Performing various catheter tests in such conditions is accompanied by deterioration of measurement accuracy and reproducibility, making it difficult to obtain reliable quantitative results. It is highly desirable to be able to perform catheter examinations in Japan.

In FIG. 2, the catheter according to the present invention differs from conventional catheters in that the permanent magnetic member 2 is completely disposed at the tip of the catheter 1. As is known, the catheter 1 has a tubular shape with a hollow portion 6, and its material, thickness, length, shape, etc. may vary depending on the purpose. Materials can be roughly classified based on the hardness required depending on the application. Metals are used for hard materials, and synthetic resins are used for flexible materials. In addition, the diameter of the catheter ranges from one as thin as one side to as thick as one side.

A threaded portion is formed on the outer periphery of the distal end of the catheter 1 . The permanent magnetic member 2 is made of a non-corrosive permanent magnetic material and has a hollow portion 4 of the same diameter that communicates with the hollow portion when screwed into the threaded portion of the catheter 1. There is.

The operation of the catheter configured as above will be explained. In order to reach the target site within the subject, this catheter is conventionally carried out using, for example, a guiding thread. After the catheter reaches the target site, the guide thread is pulled out, but at this time, if the target site is inside a blood vessel or an organ, the position of the guide thread is extremely unstable due to the flow of blood or the like. Therefore, when an external magnetic field is applied to the target region of the subject, the permanent magnetic member 2 attached to the tip of the catheter 1 can be semi-magnetically fixed by the external magnetic field. Therefore, it is possible to stably set and hold the limiting member 1 relative to the target area on which an external magnetic field is applied. During this time, if various catheter tests are performed, for example, the discharge of body fluid 1 secretion or the injection of drug solution or contrast medium through the hollow parts 6 and 4, the measurement accuracy can be improved and the reliability can be improved. Quantitative results can be obtained.

It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and includes various modifications within the scope of the gist of the present invention. As mentioned above, catheters have various shapes depending on their uses, and it goes without saying that the present invention can be applied to all of them. For example, if the catheter test is to measure blood pressure or the like, as shown in FIG. The permanent magnetic member 9'f may be inserted and attached. At this time, the permanent magnetic member 9
There is no need to provide a hollow part. Note that the means for attaching the permanent magnetic member to the catheter is not limited to screwing or press-fitting, and it does not necessarily have to be removable.

As explained above, according to the present invention, since the permanent magnetic member is completely attached to the tip of the catheter, the catheter can be stably set and held at the target site by the action of an external magnetic field during catheter examination. . Therefore, the catheter can be set and maintained completely stably even for target areas with fast blood flow or intense movement such as the heart, which improves measurement accuracy and reproducibility of catheter examinations and improves reliability. It becomes possible to obtain highly quantitative results.
