CONSTITUTION:A long groove 10 is hollowed out along the position of, for example, a punch 7, where hold-down is required and a block 11 for pressing is loosely fitted therein in the stage of interposing a plate material 9 in dies consisting of the punch 7 and a die 8 and pressing the same. A hole is inscribed from the surface of the block 11 facing to a press surface 12 that contacts with the material 9 toward the surface 12 and an urethane elastic body 13 is tightly inserted therein. A space adjusting material 14 such as a washer having a suitable thickness is inserted to the top surface of the body 13 and the degree of projection of the surface 12 with respect to the surface of the punch 7 is finely adjusted. A receiving seat 17 is provided on the die 8 on the side opposite from the side where the pressing force of the surface 12 acts via the material 9. The peripheral edge part of the material 9 is thus prevented from the generation of wrinkle and flaw.
