Conventional configurations and their problems Currently, home automation and informatization are progressing even in the home, and home equipment and video information equipment that communicate information with home computers have appeared. There is an increasing need to install a common bus-based general-purpose information line in the home, but in the past, homes only had power outlets for general-purpose electric power (power supply) connections, and signal transmission cables were installed individually. Each device was connected using its own proprietary cable. With this configuration, each signal transmission cable must be installed individually, which has the problem of being uneconomical in terms of cable utilization and cost for household devices with a relatively small amount of information. . Further, when a signal transmission cable is directly connected as a branch line to a common path for signal transmission, signal transmission for high-speed data transfer also has a problem due to reflection from the impedance mismatched end of the branch line.

Even if several branch routes are connected, the quality of the common bus line can be maintained by installing a transceiver close to the branch end, and by integrating the power outlet and information outlet, the transceiver and other circuits can be protected. It has the effect of having the power source inside the outlet.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and 31. Common path for signal transmission 4. This is an example of the overall configuration of the terminal device 2. Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing an example of a composite outlet, in which a power outlet 6 and an information outlet 5 are provided on the front panel. The information outlet 5 uses a coaxial cable as the signal transmission cable and a BNC connector as the connection part It was made into a receptacle. For electrical outlets installed in homes, if there is a protrusion on the surface of the outlet, it can be dangerous if the outlet gets tripped over when not in use, so a recess is created in the outlet and a receptacle is installed inside the outlet. FIG. 3 is a circuit block diagram inside the composite outlet 1. The common path 4 for signal transmission is branched, and a transceiver 9 is provided at the end of the branch path.
The length of the branch path, which is the reflective end that causes problems during signal transmission on the common path for signal transmission, is extremely short. Transceiver-9
, the photocoupler 10 is supplied with power by converting the AC voltage applied to the power outlet 6 by the DC power supply 7. The transceiver 9 is switched between reception and transmission by a control signal input from the information outlet 6. The photocoupler 10 is provided to electrically insulate the common path side for signal transmission and the information outlet side.
The C converter completely separates the photocoupler 1Q's light emitting and light receiving side power supplies and ground. With the above configuration, even at home, information transmission between devices is possible by simply plugging a signal transmission cable into the information outlet 5 and by defining a certain protocol.

(2) By integrating with the power outlet, there is no need to supply voltage to the circuit inside the information outlet. (3) By installing a part of the transceiver inside the information outlet, the branch path can be used as a direct signal transmission common path. This can improve the problem of reflection from the end of the branch path during signal transmission.
