Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization as well as to improve both assembling performance and mass-productivity for a head drum of a magnetic recording device by performing the assembly so that a center shaft supported fixedly and piled on the basis of a lower fixed drum and at the same time setting a driving source which drives a rotary sleeve into the head drum. CONSTITUTION:A rotary sleeve 19 is supported rotatably to a center fixed shaft 18 by means of the 1st and the 2nd bearings 20 and 21 which are set to the sleeve 19. A magnetic head 23 attached to a head fitting ring 16 protrudes to the outside slightly over the outer circumference surfaces of upper and lower fixed drums 17 and 15 and then revolved. 6の下方に垂下する部分には、フライホイール11を取
付けたドラムグーリ12とブレーキロータコア13を固
定する一方、固定下ドラム1の上方に直立する部分には
、回転ヘッドドラム2を取付けたフランジ14を固定す
る。しだがって、駆動源からの動力をベルト(図示せず
)で、ドラムプーリ12に伝達せしめると、中心回転軸
14が回転して回転ヘッドドラム2か回転する。この方
式は、磁気テープの幅方向に対する高さの正確な規制は
理想的に行なわれると共に、磁気テープの長さ方向に対
する円滑な走行は得られる。まだ、磁気ヘッドによる磁

ルド分を一度に継目なく記録するために、ヘッドドラム
に磁気テープが斜めに巻き付いた状態で走行させ、磁気

気テープの単位面積あたりの記録密度をあげ一本の走査

軽量化が要望され、それに伴いヘッドドラムも必然的に
小形軽量化が要求される。
