Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of seal effect by bringing the top of a fall- preventing lip in contact with the fitting base part of a panel side and providing a weather strip to keep the above-said contact angle almost at 90 degrees when the weather strip is pushed and deformed on a panel face. CONSTITUTION:A top part 14a of a fall-preventing lip 14 is brought in contact with the fitting base part of a panel side shown by an imaginary line A, and provided on a hollow seal lip 13 to keep a proper slant so that the contact angle theta between the above said two may be over 90 degrees. Now, when a pushing force works to the weather strip 11 from a direction Y, the hollow seal lip 13 is deformed as a dashed line 13a. At this stage, the fall-preventing lip 14 to the position of a dashed line 14b, that is, its top part 14a to the side of the weather strip 11 is drawn, and deformed to keep the above-said angle approximately at 90 degrees. This construction permits to give the maximum effect of prevention from falling to the said lip 14 for preventing the deformation of the weather strip 11, and improve the seal effect.

However, the degree of deformation of the weather strip installed on the corner portion 2 or the bent portion 3 of the automobile door 1 shown in FIG. Another disadvantage is that the rate of deterioration is high. In order to deal with the above problem, measures have been taken to connect a subaezer between the weatherstrip main body and the hollow portion, or to provide a protruding lip to prevent the weatherstrip from collapsing. That is, as shown in FIG. 2, the weather strip 6 fixed to the door panel 4 using the mounting bracket 5 has a base 7 that comes into contact with the door panel 4,
A sealing lip 8 is formed integrally with the base 7, and a tipping prevention lip 9 is provided protruding near the mounting base on the outer surface of the hollow sealing lip 8 on the inside of the passenger compartment to prevent pressing force from above. When applied to the hollow seal lip 8, the fall prevention lip 9 comes into contact with the base 7 and the hollow seal lip 8
This prevents deformation or crushing. In addition to the embodiments described above, the tip of the tip of the lip for preventing falling may be formed to directly contact the door panel side.

However, in the conventional weather l-IJ lip deformation prevention structure described above, when the pressing force from the outside at the corner of a car becomes strong, the deformation prevention lip itself deforms and the base side A situation may occur in which the object is pulled towards the object or bent, and the function to prevent it from falling over cannot be achieved. This results in a reduction in sealing effectiveness and deterioration in appearance performance, which poses a problem when installing weather strips.

The present invention has been devised in view of the above-mentioned current situation, and has been developed by making improvements to the conventional weather strip that has a good lip sound for preventing falling. The purpose is to obtain a strip, and in order to achieve this purpose, the tip of the lip for preventing falling is in full contact with the mounting base on the pile side, and
When the weatherstrip is compressed and deformed to the panel surface, the lip is weathered by maintaining an appropriate inclination in advance at the contact area with the lip surface so that the contact angle of the lip with the pile surface becomes approximately a right angle. The main objective is to obtain a weather strip for automobiles which is characterized by being integrally molded on one end side of the knob.

The structure of the weather strip according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to FIG. That is, the weather strip generally designated 11 in FIG. 3 is; lI! =
12, a hollow seal lip 13 integrally formed with the base 12, and a single chamber inner and outer surface m of this hollow seal lip.
* Near the base of +J, the main structure is a lip 14 for preventing falling that is formed protruding along the longitudinal direction of the weather strip 1 and a hollow part 15 for inserting a metal fitting.

A is in contact with the panel side mounting base shown in virtual @A, and the contact angle θ between the two is (a) maintained at an appropriate inclination such that it is on the dial f:% be a sign. That is, the fall-prevention lip 14 is set in advance so that its tip 14a is slightly deviated from the panel-side mounting base of the weather strip.
Therefore, the contact angle θ is on the (a) scale.

When a pressing force is applied from the Y direction to the weather strip having the above structure, the hollow seal lip 13 is deformed as shown in 13a in FIG. 4 by this pressing force.
Accordingly, the tipping prevention lip 14 is at the position 14b,
That is, the tip portion 14a has a shape drawn toward the weather strip, and at this time, the tip portion 14a is deformed so that the contact angle between the tipping prevention lip 14 and the panel-side mounting base becomes approximately a right angle. That is, when the hollow sealing rib 13 gradually deforms due to the pressing force Y, the fall prevention lip 14 gradually becomes upright in proportion to the magnitude of the pressing force Y, and the pressing force Y
When the angle of contact between the tipping prevention lip 14 and the panel-side mounting base A reaches its maximum, the contact angle between the tipping prevention lip 14 and the panel-side mounting base A becomes approximately the same as the angle of contact, and the maximum tipping prevention effect is often exhibited. This strong anti-falling effect makes it possible to prevent the weather strip 11 from collapsing due to the pressing force Y.
