Abstract

PURPOSE:To dismount refractory lining material in dry coke quenching equipment without the need of setting up a scaffolding, by charging filling material in lumps into a coke oven from above down to the neighborhood of an oven opening and removing refractory material, while the level of the filling material is being lowered gradually. CONSTITUTION:Cold lump coke 13 is charged continuously into a coke oven from a charger 1 until the coke is filled with the filling material to an operating level 14 below an oven opening 2. Powdered coke is sprayed over the lump coke to flatten the surface and a sheet, etc. is laid to provide a foothold for operation. Dismounting of damaged refractory lining material is started from around the oven opening and the filled coke 13 is taken out by means of a cut-gate 5 so that the operation level 14 may be lowered. The dismounting operation is carried out for every descending level. As several batches of coke are taken out, the operation level is brought down to the oven bed level of a dust remover 15 (operation level 14a). Then dismounted waste bricks are carried out of the oven through a chute provided on the side wall of the dust remover. As the dismounting operation is repeated, the foothold level comes down to the level of a manhole 10 and dismounted wastes are carried out through the manhole 10. The operation is continued until it is completed at the bottom of the oven.

Conventionally, in order to replace the lining refractories, as shown in Fig. 1, steel scaffolding 9 is sequentially assembled on the cut gate 5 at the bottom of the furnace body, and a working space is placed at the level of the Roman Hall 10 for entering and exiting the furnace body. A floor 11 was temporarily constructed, and a pipe scaffold 12 was assembled on the floor all the way to the top (namely, the furnace mouth), and the lining structure was dismantled.

This method requires a large amount of time and expense to install, dismantle, and remove strong scaffolding and floors. That is, a steel scaffolding 9 and a work floor 11 are temporarily constructed, then a pipe scaffolding 12 is erected to the top, and each scaffolding and floor is sequentially dismantled downward and the damaged refractory lining 3 is broken to reach the bottom. Because it required a complicated procedure,
Not only does it take a long time to dismantle the refractory lining, but it also takes a lot of man-hours just to prepare materials for each scaffold and floor, carry them in, set them up, and remove them, and the demolition costs including material costs are high. was huge. In addition, it is difficult to ensure safety because heavy objects are handled in a narrow room with a complex shape, and construction work on scaffolding is also dangerous.

The purpose of this invention is to shorten construction days, reduce construction costs and materials, and ensure safety by performing construction without temporary construction of scaffolding during dismantling work of lining refractories. The gist of this method is to fill a lumpy charge such as cold lump coke, coal lumps, ore lumps from the upper part of the furnace body in a trench near the furnace mouth, and then operate the cut-out device at the lower part of the furnace body to level the above-mentioned burdens. The present invention provides a method for dismantling a refractory lining inside a furnace of coke extinguishing equipment, in which the refractory lining is dismantled using the upper surface of the charge as a scaffold while lowering the refractory lining successively.
