Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensively and freely an optionally desired pattern, by transferring a pressure fixable toner image on a sheet having a releasable surface then superposing a transfer sheet further thereon and transferring the image. CONSTITUTION:A pressure fixable toner image is formed on a sheet 7. The sheet 7 is transparent or semitransparent sheet having a releasable surface and is nonoriented LDPE film having about 150mu thickness. A transfer sheet 11 is superposed on the sheet 7 on which a toner image is transferred and fixed, and the entire part is pressed with a pressure fixing device 12. The toner image is transferred from the sheet 7 to the paper 11 and is fixed thereon in accordance with the difference in the fixability of the pressure fixable toner between the sheet 7 having the releasable surface and the sheet 11, that is, because the adhesion strength between the transfer sheet and the toner image is larger than the adhesion strength between the releasable surface and the toner image, when the sheets are pressed with the above-mentioned device 12.

Conventionally, for drafting work, creating titles for papers, graphs, alphanumerics, etc., we used a marker called Rotring (product name) and a template called Tenblitt, in which typical patterns such as lines, patterns, and letters were cut out. How to draw an image along the green of the pattern, Letraset (
Alphanumerics and general-purpose patterns are printed on #f pattern paper (trade name) using a wax-based substance used for typewriter ribbons, and the image area is superimposed on the desired paper, for example, and the tip of a pencil is used from the back side. A commonly used method is to apply pressure and transfer the pattern onto the opposing paper. These methods are advantageous in that the desired image can be easily reproduced at a certain W1 interval and as easily as printing, but in the former, the equipment itself is very expensive and the tip of the marker ben There are many complicated aspects such as preventing the drying of the ink and replenishing the ink, and there is also a restriction that only a limited number of patterns can be used, and requests for special patterns or making the size larger or smaller cannot necessarily be met. It has 71 disadvantages.

On the other hand, Letraset itself is expensive, and unlike Rotring, it is all consumables, so even if you use one Letraset repeatedly and use it many times, the running cost is the same, and the above Special patterns and size requirements such as these are more restrictive than Rotrings.

A sheet 7 having a releasable surface is supplied to the transfer section of the copying machine, and the toner image is transferred from the photoreceptor surface onto the releasable surface of the sheet via a transfer corotron 8, and the sheet holding the transferred image is ” and is received on the output tray 10 via the pressure fixing device 9. The transfer sheet 11 is placed over the desired position of the toner image on the sheet 7 on which the toner image has been transferred and fixed (fm 1 (
h) Figure), the entire body is pressed by the pressure transfer device 12 to form the meat (
(Based on the difference in the fixability of the pressure-fixable toner between the sheet 7 having a moldable surface and the transfer sheet 11, that is, the adhesive force between the transfer sheet and the toner image is stronger than the adhesive force between the mold-release surface and the toner image. Since the adhesion is large, the toner image is transferred from the sheet 7 to the transfer sheet 11 and fixed (Fig. 1(C)).Then, when the transfer sheet 11 is peeled off from the sheet 7, the toner image is transferred to the transfer sheet 11. °Fixed transfer
An i-sheet 11 is obtained. This transfer sheet 11 may be further subjected to a heat fixing operation, a transparent film coating, etc. to further improve the fixability of the toner image.

Sheets with a releasable surface include films of synthetic resins such as polyester, polyethylene, and polypropylene, transparent paper coated with silicone (1°j1 fat matashiyo, 1" polyethylene wax, etc.) to prevent lumps. Since such a sheet is electrically insulating, the charge supplied from the transfer corotron to this sheet is well preserved even in the event of high slag, and therefore even when highly conductive toner is used. A transferred image with a quality of better than 1 is obtained. The transfer sheet that ultimately carries the image is, for example, a regular nail.

Since the image obtained on the transfer sheet in the method of the present invention is a mirror image of the original, it is only necessary that the original does not hold a mirror image of the desired image. The use of such an original can be accomplished either by placing the desired image on a transparent film and using it by turning it over, or by using an initially obtained transfer sheet with the desired image as the original. Further, by incorporating a lens mechanism for enlarging/reducing the image into the optical system of the electrophotographic copying machine used, the original can be enlarged/reduced.

EXAMPLE A printed manuscript was copied onto Mylar film to produce a printed image identical to the original. The pre-pressured type image copy was then placed face down (with the image side facing up) onto a platen of an electrophotographic copying machine with a built-in pressure fixing device.
A reverse image (mirror image) of the desired image was obtained on a low-density unstretched polyethylene film having a thickness of 150 μm housed in a paper cassette. This reverse image was fixed on the polyethylene film by pressure fixing to such an extent that it could not be wiped off with a finger. The image side of the polyethylene film thus obtained was brought into close contact with plain paper, and the image area was rubbed from the back side of the paper with the head of a pole-in to obtain a clear image on the plain paper identical to the original type image. The image thus transferred onto plain paper exhibited good fixability, comparable to that of a copy image fixed by ordinary pressure. A permanent fixation can be obtained by applying a conventional lacquer spray.
