Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically clean a type drum interlockedly with reversing of an ink ribbon and maintain a drum surface to be always clean, by connecting an arm of a type drum cleaning brush to a reversing lever for reversing the ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:When the ink ribbon 2 placed along a ribbon guide 21 provided at the outside periphery of the type drum 1 is gradually wound around a roll 23 on one side so that an end of the ribbon 2 is approached, a reversing bar 24 is let out, whereby the reversing lever 25 is pulled up to operate a microswitch 26 for driving a reverse running. ボンロール22に対する図示しない駆動クラッチを連結
してインクリボン2の反転走行を行うようになっている
。そこで本発明は、インクリボン2の反転駆動機構を利
用して前記反転レバー25の駆動部に、前記活字ドラム
1面に沿う長さの清掃用ブラシ27を具備したブラシア
