Abstract

PURPOSE:To give a fine external appearance to a joining portion and eliminate the recovery and disposal of staples at disjoining by a method wherein a heating tool is inserted into the overlapped portion of the corrugated boards in order to form a fusion welding layer of resin between the corrugated boards adjacent to each other. CONSTITUTION:After heating a heating pin 5 by energizing the heating tool 4, the heating pin 5 is driven downward so as to press the tip of the heating pin 5 against the overlapped portion 7 of the corrugated boards. The corrugated board 1 is heated by the heating pins 5 so as to be locally softened and melted and consequently the heating pin 5 penetrates the corrugated board 1 and passes through overlapped faces 8 and locally softens and melts the corrugated board 2 in order to advance into the corrugated board 2. With the advancement of the heating pin 5 into the corrugated boards, the softend and fused films 9 of the respective corrugated boards are partially formed around the heating pin 5. Consequently, a part of said softened and fused films 9 spread themselves into the overlapped faces 9 in order to form the fused layer 10 of resin. The heating pin 5 is drawn upward before its tip attains the underside surface of the corrugated board 2 and, after that, the corrugated board is left as it cools so as to allow the fused layer 10 and the softened and fused film 9 to solidify themselves in a few minutes in order to finish the joining of the corrugated boards 1 and 2.

Plastic cardboard is lighter than paper cardboard, and is highly water and oil resistant, so it has come to be used for a variety of purposes. However, when manufacturing boxes and the like using plastic corrugated cardboard, the only way to join the overlapping parts is to use a wire stitcher, as it is difficult to bond them with adhesive.

However, if the wire stitcher is damaged, not only will the appearance of the joint be unsightly, but the stitches, which are metal products, must be disassembled and removed, which is troublesome when collecting the material after use.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks and provides a method for joining thermoplastic resin corrugated boards, which has an excellent appearance at the joint and eliminates the need to collect and dispose of stitches during disassembly.

However, in this invention, a plurality of thermoplastic resin cardboards are stacked one on top of the other, and one side of the stacked portion is heated.
, Press the ingredients: 1. Nuclear heating - 1 - While melting the cardboard with a tool, insert the heating tool into the overlapping part so that the tip of the heating tool goes beyond the overlap of the cardboard. This is a method for joining thermoplastic resin corrugated boards, which is characterized in that after the resin is inserted to form a molten layer between adjacent corrugated boards, the heating tool is pulled out and the molten layer is cooled and solidified.

In the figure, 1 and 2 are cardboard boxes, both of which are made of thermoplastic resin such as polypropylene or polyethylene.
A large number of partition walls 1 (2) and 2 (2) are integrally formed by extrusion molding between the sheets 1 to 12 of the sheets 1, 2, and 2a, 211, respectively.

Reference numeral 3 denotes a heating tool, which is constructed by protruding a plurality of round bar-shaped heating pins 5, which are carp cutting tools, at an appropriate pitch from a cassette-shaped main body 4 containing an electric heater. The main body 4 of the heating tool is supported so as to be movable in a direction substantially perpendicular to the upper surface of a surface plate 6 by an air cylinder or the like (not shown) with its longitudinal direction being horizontal.

To join corrugated cardboards 1 and 2, first refer to Figure 1 (a
), both cardboard boxes are placed on a surface plate 6'' with their joints overlapped. Next, the main body 4 of the heating tool is energized to heat the heating bottle 5, and then the heating bottle 5 is driven downward to press the tip of the heating bottle 5 against the overlapping portion 7 of the cardboard. For example, in the case of polypropylene cardboard, the heating temperature of the heating bottle 5 is approximately 1
The temperature is preferably 80 to 200°C. The cardboard 1 is heated by the heating bottle 5 to locally soften and melt, and the heating bottle 5 penetrates the cardboard 1 and further passes over the overlapping surface 8 of the cardboards 1 and 2 to locally soften and melt the cardboard 2. Then, the tip of the heating bottle 5 enters the cardboard 2. In this state, as shown in FIG. 1(b), as the heating bottle 5 enters the cardboard box, the heating bottle 5 is υi.
Due to the softening and melting of the corrugated cardboard material, a softened and molten film 9 of each corrugated cardboard is formed partially around the heating bin 5, and a part of the softened molten film 9 permeates into the overlapping surface 8 and forms a layer between the corrugated cardboards 1 and 2. A molten layer 10 of resin is formed. Before the tip of the heating bottle 5 reaches the bottom surface of the cardboard 2, stop the descent of the heating tool 3, pull it up to one side, and pull out the heating bottle 5 to one side. The softened molten film 9 hardens in a few seconds, and the joining of the cardboards 1 and 2 is completed as shown in FIG. It depends on the temperature of the heating bottle 5, the shape of the tip, and the thickness of each part of the cardboard, but according to the inventor's experiments, the total pressure is 2.5 seconds and 4 seconds, respectively, in the case of a polypropylene cardboard with 3 gates and 5 gates. It only takes a short time, about seconds.

In the above embodiment t, since the heating bottle 5 is not bent in the same direction as the overlapping part 7 of the corrugated cardboard 112, no hole is formed on the surface side of the corrugated cardboard 2, and foreign matter such as lumps and water droplets can be absorbed into the hole. Although the heating bottle 5 has the advantage of not penetrating into the inside of the box or the like and has a particularly good appearance, the heating bottle 5 may be made to penetrate the overlapped portion 7 of the cardboard as shown in FIG.

In each of the above embodiments, the overlapping portion 7 of the corrugated cardboard extends in a direction perpendicular to the partition walls He, 2e of the corrugated cardboard.
Even if it extends in any direction with respect to r and 12, it can be joined in the same way as above. For example again.”
1. A sheet with many protrusions formed between the lower sheets (center core)
Cardboard strands manufactured by thermally bonding paper sheets (corrugated cardboard without directionality) can also be joined in the same manner as above.

Figure 4 shows the case where the overlapping parts of three cardboard boxes 1.12.13 are joined, and the resin formed in the same way as in 1. Assimilation of the molten layer allows the three sheets of cardboard to be joined together. Note that illustration of the internal structure of the cardboard is omitted in the figure. (The same applies to other drawings hereinafter.) Figure 5 shows the case where the joining method of the present invention is used to manufacture a rectangular cylinder body that can be used as a column, girder, beam, etc. from plastic cardboard. A corrugated pole 14 made of plastic resin is bent by an appropriate method such as heating bending or heat welding bending, and both ends are overlapped, and a heating tool 16 is placed inside the overlapped part 15.
the heating tool is fixed, the cardboard 14 is lowered, and the heating tool 16 is pushed onto the overlapping part 15.
The joint portion 17 is formed in the same manner as in the case of U, and a rectangular cylinder body 18 that is lightweight, has excellent appearance, and is strong, water-resistant, and oil-resistant is obtained. The heating tool 16 is constructed by embedding the heating tool 3 shown in FIG. However, it is convenient to lower the overlapping portion I5 until it comes into contact with the soil surface of the guide 19, since the desired heating bottle insertion depth can be obtained.

As explained above-1-, according to the present invention, the overlapped portions of cardboard can be quickly joined by a simple process of inserting a heating tool into the overlapped portion of the cardboard, and it is possible to join the overlapped portions of the cardboards in a manner other than stitching. :Since no AI+ is used, the appearance is excellent, and stitching and disassembly when collecting materials is easy.
It has the advantage that no removal is necessary.
