Abstract

PURPOSE:To save space through reducing the weight of a vehicle body and the size of trim parts, by integrating an oil tank for a dry sump system lubricating device with a crankcase. CONSTITUTION:The oil tank which has been a separate body is integrated with the crankcase 1, and a passage 10a for communicating with an oil sump 7 side is formed as one body with a bottom 6 of the crankcase 1. Therefore, the weight of the oil tank is reduced, as compared to that in the case of providing the separate oil tank. In addition, since separate piping for the oil tank 12 is not required, the weight of the vehicle body can be largely reduced. Further, since the oil tank 12 is provided by utilizing a marginal space below a transmission case integral with the crankcase 1 and it is unnecessary to provide any separate piping for communicating the oil sump 7 to the oil tank 12, the engine is made to be extremely compact both as a single unit and in the condition of being fitted in a finished vehicle, and it can be contrived to lower the center of gravity of the engine.

The lubrication system for the four-cycle engine for tunnels is that an oil reservoir is installed at the bottom of the crack case, and the lubricating oil in the oil compartment is sucked up by an oil pump through an oil strainer.
The so-called wet sump system (Wet su+np system) is used to send the lubricating oil in one oil reservoir to the oil tank, which is then sent to the oil tank, and the 4ν1 lubricating oil in the oil tank is sent to each oil gear. It can be roughly divided into the so-called dry sump system.

Conventionally, in the dry sump system, the oil tank is provided separately from the crankcase, and therefore, in motorcycles, three-wheelers, etc., it is necessary to arrange the oil tank in a limited space or to arrange the piping. There is also the problem that these arrangements lead to an increase in vehicle weight.

In addition, the valley of 7 degrees of the second sub-ilphone of the return river: li- is a single oil for lubricating oil supply,
Since it is quieter than J de Nbu no part 2], the lubricating oil does not return to the crankcase 1 during engine operation and accumulates, and the oil dripping and agitation inside the crankcase requires 1 c of force. , oil temperature rise is suppressed.

As mentioned above, in the non-embodiment, the oil tank, which was conventionally separate, is formed integrally with the crankcase 1, and the communication passage 1.0a with the oil reservoir 7 (ltll) is integrated with the case bottom 6 (C Compared to the case where a separate oil tank is installed, the oil tank weight is reduced to 11, and since there is no need for separate piping for the oil tank J2, a large amount of weight can be achieved. In addition, the oil tank I2 is installed using the surplus space under the mission case, which is integrated with the crankcase 1, and the oil tank I2 is installed using the surplus space under the mission case, which is integrated with the crankcase 1. Separate body for communication between oil I?Ff 7 and oil tank 122.
(Since there is no need for Illf, even when the engine 91 is assembled or when it is mounted on the engine, it becomes a very convenient engine, and the center of gravity can be lowered.
