[Detailed description of the invention] As shown in Fig. 1, the present invention consists of a hollow tubular base 1 which is rotatably attached to the vehicle body side, and a hollow tubular base 1 which extends through curved parts on both side extensions of the base 1. In this hollow automobile stabilizer, the arm part 3 is integrally arranged, and the arm part 3 is further provided with a mounting part 4 connected to the wheel mechanism at the tip of the arm part 3 to supplement the roll rigidity of the vehicle body. This relates to a new structure that complements the strength defect in the vicinity of the junction point, that is, in the illustrated boundary zone 2.

Based on the recent trend toward weight reduction of vehicles, the structure of the stabilizer has been changed from the conventional solid structure to a hollow structure made of tubular material. Superior low carbon steel resistance welded pipes are used as they are particularly suited to practical applications.

However, the fatigue resistance of the electric resistance welded pipe has been pointed out as a drawback.
This is the actual situation that is said to be a bottleneck in promoting the hollow structure.

That is, in the above-mentioned stabilizer structure in which the arm part 3 acts in a cantilever shape with the base 1 as a support based on the vertical movement difference between the left and right wheels, the maximum stress is generated in the joint area of the base part 1 and the arm part 3. There is an unavoidable problem of premature failure of the electric resistance welded tube.

The gist of the present invention is a new structure in which at least two or more inserting members are fitted into the hollow part of the ERW tube in the junction area, that is, the boundary zone 2 where the base 1 and the arm 3 contact. The aim is to improve the durability of hollow stabilizers for automobiles by eliminating conventional structural defects, and to promote hollow structures.

The present invention will be explained below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 3 shows an example of this, in which the base 1 arm 3 is formed of a single low-carbon ERW tube, both ends of the base 1 extend through a curved part, and the left and right center line 1' of the base 1 extends. Two arm portions 3 are arranged symmetrically with respect to each other, and a mounting portion 4 is further provided at the tip of the arm portion 3.

In the above-described hollow stabilizer for automobiles, a large number of columnar inserting members 5 are fitted in the vicinity of the junction of the base 1 and the arm 3, that is, in the hollow region inside the tube of the boundary zone 2 shown, so as to be tightly fixed to each other. However, it is characterized by a structure in which the boundary zone 2 of the aggregate has a cross section similar to that of a solid.

In the above new configuration, the inserting material 5 has its both end portions of considerable length fitted and fixed to the base 1 and the straightened portions of the arm portions 3, so that the electric resistance welded tube and the inserting material 5 are integrated and can resist external force. It acts as a combination beam with increased section modulus.

Therefore, when the stabilizer is activated, the arm portion 3 acts as a cantilever beam, and the boundary zone 2 belonging to the maximum moment area of the cantilever beam has an increased section modulus, so that the stress of the electric resistance welded pipe in that region is relaxed, and to improve durability.

Furthermore, the electric resistance welded tube has a raised welding bead 6 remaining on the inner surface of the tube, and simply inserting a single columnar body interferes with the bead 6, making the insertion operation difficult. Since there is a groove-like gap therebetween, the insertion operation can be easily performed and the purpose can be achieved.

As described above, the present invention improves and complements the deficiencies of the tubular material in automatic military hollow stabilizers, improves its durability, promotes the spread of lightweight and inexpensive hollow stabilizers, and contributes to vehicle weight reduction and resource conservation. It is something to do.
