Claims

A plate-shaped heating element with electrode films formed on both opposing mold surfaces is sandwiched between a pair of metal terminal plates and housed in one compartment separated by a partition wall provided in the exterior case. On the other hand, in another compartment adjacent to the above-mentioned compartment of the outer case, a gap is formed between a lead piece-shaped contact piece having a spring terminal made of a metal having spring properties at one end and one of the metal terminal plates. The contact piece of the spring terminal is elastically deformed toward the metal terminal plate through the window provided in the partition wall, and the contact piece and the metal terminal plate are soldered with low melting point solder, and the heating element is fixed. A safety structure for a heating element, characterized in that the contact piece is detached from the metal terminal plate when the element generates abnormal heat.
