Conventionally, roll-type ink coating machines include those that use a doctor knife and those that use a doctor roll, each of which is used for a specific purpose.

That is, depending on the pattern printed on the object to be coated, the amount of ink to be coated may be regulated exclusively by a doctor roll without using a doctor knife.

For example, when a coating roll is used as an engraved roll to create a shading pattern on the object to be coated, if a conventional doctor knife is used, the cutting edge of the knife is sharp and made of metal, so the printing ink will not run out. If it becomes too clear, the printing ink will not adhere well to the non-engraved surface of the applicator roll, and the amount of printing ink liquid pooled between the applicator roll and the object to be coated will be too small, making it impossible to obtain the desired shading pattern. In addition to this, there is a disadvantage that the knife tip and the surface of the coating roll are easily damaged because the knife's cutting edge comes into contact with the coating roll.

Therefore, when darning, a doctor roll is used,
In this case, if the gap between the applicator roll and the doctor roll is too small, the ink will not be able to get on the applicator roll, and on the other hand, if the gap between the two is too empty, an excessive amount of ink will get on the applicator roll surface. There is a drawback that if the printing ink is transferred to the back of the object to be coated, the printing ink may scatter.

Therefore, in order to create the desired shading pattern on the object to be coated, it is necessary to delicately adjust the clearance between the coating roll and the doctor roll and to constantly monitor it, which requires considerable skill and manpower. There is a disadvantage.

In order to solve the disadvantages mentioned above in conventional ink coating machines, the inventor of the present invention made at least the cutting edge of the doctor knife from a soft elastic material such as rubber or synthetic resin as a result of various studies. The ink coating machine has a structure in which both ends of the cutting edge in the width direction are brought into contact with the circumferential surface on the side in the escape direction of the object to be coated so as to slightly protrude from the coating roll, and the printing ink is shaped by the coating roll and the cutting edge. If used in such a way that it is stored in the voids of the coating roll, the doctor knife will not damage the coating roll surface, and unlike the case of using a doctor roll, the appropriate amount of printing ink can be applied to the coating roll surface without having to worry about clearance adjustment and monitoring. We have come to the conclusion that it is possible to put it on.

以下図面により本案の内容を説明する。The content of this proposal will be explained below with reference to the drawings.

A lidar roll 2 made of hard rubber or other material is mounted above the application roll 1 in pressure contact with the application roll 1, and between the application roll 1 and the lidar roll 2 there is a sheet-like material such as paper, cloth, etc. Printing is carried out by passing the printing ink 4 through the object to be coated 3 and transferring the printing ink 4 from the coating roll 1 to the pressure contact surface of the coating roller 1 of the object to be coated 3 as the coating roll 1 and the rider roll 2 rotate. It is similar to a conventional coating machine.

The doctor knife 6 has at least its cutting edge 6aa made of a soft elastic material such as rubber or synthetic resin.
It is inclined at a certain angle so that a is downward, and the cutting edge 6

Preferably, the cutting edge 6a is provided on the diagonally lower part, that is, on the fourth half circumferential surface.
Both ends in the width direction of a are attached to the rose 1-5 or other supporting member (not shown) of the coating roll 1 and rider roll 2 so as to slightly protrude from the diagonal cloth roll 1.

That is, the doctor knife 6 has a base 6b of a normal-shaped blade 6a made of the soft elastic material, and a rivet, screw, etc. It is fixedly formed using a fixing means such as adhesive.

Or, from the purpose of the present invention, the blade 6 of the doctor knife 6
Since it is sufficient that even the cutting edge 6aa is made of the soft elastic material, the cutting edge 6aa is made of the material, the other parts are made of metal, which is a usual blade forming material, and the two are joined with adhesive. It may also be formed by

As described above, the cutting edge 6aa contacts the coating roll 1 in such a way that both widthwise ends thereof slightly protrude beyond the coating roll 1, but this is caused to accumulate in the gap 7 formed between the coating roll 1 and the cutting edge 6aa. This is a measure to facilitate the removal of excess printing ink 4, and each end may protrude from the coating roll 1 by about 1 cm, for example.

Since the excess printing ink 4 drips down along both ends of the protruding blade edge 6aa, adhesion of the excess printing ink 4 to the coating roll 1 can be avoided.

The term "soft" used to describe the soft elastic material that forms the cutting edge 6aa does not include materials with high hardness such as metal, wood, or stone, but of course, the material may not be used as a blade for a doctor's knife. Therefore, suitable materials for the cutting edge 6aa include synthetic resins such as vinyl chloride resin and vinyl acetate resin, or rubber materials containing hard rubber.

As mentioned above, the doctor knife 6 is attached to the circumferential surface of the application roll 1 on the side in which the object to be coated 3 is removed, so that it is inclined at a constant angle, so that a certain gap 7 is created between the application roll 1 and the cutting edge 6aa. can.

The printing ink 4 may be supplied as appropriate depending on how much of the printing ink 4 in the gap 7 is reduced. As the applicator roll 1 rotates, the printing ink 4 in the gap 7 is gently regulated by the doctor knife 6 and transferred to the applicator roll 1 in an appropriate amount, and is further formed with the object 3 to form the applicator roll 1. A puddle of the printing ink 9 is formed in the air space 9 .

Furthermore, this kind of ink coating machine produces a shading pattern on the object 3 to be coated by creating a pool of an appropriate amount of printing ink 4 between the object 3 and the coating roll 1 as described above. Therefore, the liquid pool must be formed evenly in the air space 9.

In the present invention, even if the printing ink 4 is injected at one location in the air space 7, the printing ink 4 is distributed over the entire area of the air space 7, so that the printing ink 7 is evenly transferred to the circumferential surface of the application roll 1. The liquid puddles are also formed on an average basis.

The ink coating machine of this invention is constructed as described above, and since the cutting edge of the doctor knife is made of a soft elastic material, the transfer of printing ink to the coating roll is necessary and sufficient to create a pool of printing ink. It can be applied in small amounts without damaging the surface of the coating roll.

In addition, the doctor knife can achieve its purpose by simply pressing it against the applicator roll, so it does not require much manpower during the printing process, and the operator can monitor and adjust the amount of printing ink transferred to the applicator roll. It is easy to handle and requires no training or skill.

In other words, if the ink coating machine of this invention is used, the amount of printing ink liquid accumulated between the object to be coated and the coating roll will be appropriate, and the so-called back printing will not cause the printing ink to scatter, especially when expressing a shaded pattern. can efficiently obtain good printing effects.

Therefore, the ink coating machine according to the present invention can be of great benefit when used in this kind of field where the demand will increase more and more in the future.
