Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to constantly achieve clear printing free from scattering of ink, by constituting a platen of a plurality of surfaces differing in hardness. CONSTITUTION:The platen 13 is bisected into platens 13a, 13b, which differ in hardness. When a recording paper 4 is a single-sheet paper, it is printed by locating the platen 13a at a position faced to the platen 13a, and when the recording paper 4 is a copying paper constituted of two or more sheets, the platen 13b is used. When the hardness of a rubber constituting the platen is low, drformation of a recording paper when receiving a dot becomes large, whereby an instantaneous rise in pressure is relieved, and the ink is prevented from being scattered. In addition, the contact between a tip surface of a wire and the recording paper becomes uniform, the ink is wastelessly transferred onto the recording paper, and the dot becomes dense and clear. When the recording paper is the copying paper, the paper itself produces an effect similar to that of a low-hardness platen because of its large thickness, so that a high-hardness platen is used.

The ink-type wire dot printer does not use an ink ribbon, but directly deposits liquid ink on the tip of the wire, as the printing principle is explained in detail in Japanese Patent Application No. 1981-81609 filed by the present applicant. This is a printer that prints using This type of printer does not require an ink ribbon mechanism, and there is no ribbon trouble such as wire bending due to the ink ribbon getting caught.
Since the printing energy is directly transmitted to the recording network without going through the ink ribbon, it has various advantages such as clear copies when making simultaneous copies. However, the use of liquid ink has the problem that ink scattering tends to occur during printing.

FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of the vicinity of the tip of a wire that receives a print signal and is projected toward the recording paper surface by a wire drive mechanism (not shown) in an ink-type wire dot printer. The ink 2 adheres to the print end surface of the wire 1 in the shape shown in the figure and collides with the recording paper 4 on the back plate 3, leaving dots on the recording paper. At this time, the ink sandwiched between the wire printing end face and the recording paper surface is subjected to an impactful pressure increase, and the ink that has not been able to adhere to the recording paper is scattered around the dot. Furthermore, when the wires collide, the wires vibrate and the ink adhering to the circumference of the wires is scattered.

The operation of this printer is such that when the recording paper is one sheet thick, the platen 13α, which has a rubber hardness of 75 degrees, is placed in a position facing the head for printing, and the recording paper consists of two or more sheets. For copy paper, use platen 13 at 95 degrees.
Use b. According to experiments conducted by the present inventors, it has been confirmed that there is a correlation between ink scattering and the rubber hardness of the platen, and that the lower the rubber hardness, the less ink scattering occurs. This is thought to be due to the fact that by lowering the rubber hardness of the platen, the deformation of the recording paper upon hitting the dot 4- is large and the instantaneous pressure rise is alleviated, thereby suppressing ink scattering. Furthermore, since the effect of reducing buten abrasion is enhanced, ink scattering, which is the main cause of wire vibration, is also suppressed. In addition, the contact between the wire end surface and the recording paper becomes uniform, and the ink is transferred to the recording paper without waste, making the dots dark and clear. In experiments conducted by the inventor, Hiromu confirmed that the above-mentioned effect is fully exhibited with a rubber hardness of 75 and a phase change degree, and by using such a platen, clear printing with less scattering of the P ink can be achieved. It will be done. On the other hand, when the recording paper is copy paper, due to its thickness, the recording paper itself has the same effect as a low-hardness platen.
If a platen with low back pressure and low hardness is used, the pressure at the wire dot will not be sufficiently transmitted to the recording paper, making it impossible to make satisfactory copies. Therefore, in this case, butene with high hardness may be used.

Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIG. This is a side view of the platen, which is composed of four types of members having different hardness, indicated by platens 22a to 22d, and is equipped with a platen surface selection mechanism similar to that shown in FIG. The rubber hardness of platen α is 60 degrees, similarly 23b is 80 degrees, 23c is 90 degrees, and 2. ``LD'' is made of metal, and the optimum platen surface can be used depending on the type of recording paper and the number of copy sheets. In particular, since 3D is made of metal, it is possible to make multiple copies such as 10 copies.
