3から噴射される燃料な噴孔6の出口直前で燃焼させる
ようにしたものである。なお第2図及び第6図では金属
ホルダー5にシーズヒータ7を1個数シ付けたものを例
示したが、取り付けられるシーズヒータは必らずしも1
個に限定されるものではなく燃料噴孔6を囲み複数個と
してもよい。またシーズヒータ7は、第4図に示すよう
にリング状に形成し、これを燃料噴射ノズル3よシ突出
して周囲を覆うよう(て配設してもよい。さらにシーズ
ヒータIは、例えば先端を閉塞した外径2.5〜3.O
wIIの耐熱金属管内に圧結された耐熱性絶縁物中に抵

料への着火が燃料噴孔の出口直前で行なわれるため着火
遅れがなく極めて着火性の良いものとなるばかりでなく
、燃焼室内に従来例のグロープラグの如き大きな突出物
がないため室内の渦流形式がスムーズとなり、始動後に
おける着火ミスに起因するエンジンの出力低下や燃費の
悪化、さらには有害な排気ガスの増加等エンジン性能を
阻害する要因を排除できるほか、渦流室等に燃料噴射ノ
ズルとは別にグロープラグの取付孔を設ける必要がない
ので渦流室等が竪牢化され、さらにはグロープラグの取
付工数も省略し得る等、数多くの利点を有するものであ
って、極めて優れた始動補助用予熱装置を提供できるも
