光電変換するための第2の光検出器と、上記第2の光検
出器の出力を増幅する増幅器と、上記増幅器の出力を第
1の基準電圧で弁別して第1の受信タイミングを作る第
1のコンパレータと、上記送信レーザの出力タイミング
と上記第1の受信タイミングとの間隔を計数する第1の
カウンタと、上記増幅器の出力を第1の基準電圧とは別
の第2の基準電圧で弁別して第2の受信タイミングを作
る第2のコンパレータと、′上記送信レーザの出力タイ
ミングと上記第2の受信タイミングとの間隔を計数する
第2ノカウンタと、上記第1のカウンタと上記第2のカ
ウンタのカウント値を演算する演算回路とを設、 けた
