Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase a battery life and prevent capacity decrease by installing a spray arrestor having a separator floating preventive part which extends to the upper end of the separator. CONSTITUTION:A spray arrestor 12 is fixed by a projection 13 in the bottom of an anode post 8 and a projection 14 in the bottom of a cathode post 9. A separator floating preventive part 15 which extends to the upper end of a separator 10 is arranged at the end of the spray arrestor 12. The floating of the separator 10 by shock during transportation or use of a storage battery is prevented by the separator floating preventive part 15 in the spray arrestor 12. Since falling off of active materials caused by floating of the separator is prevented, capacity decrease is minimized.
