Claims

In a two-piece pulley, each pulley end plate is fitted into a separate sleeve at a helical spline portion, and the helical spline portions are oriented at opposite angles to each other, thereby controlling the mutual relationship between the sleeve and the pulley. However, the split pulley is characterized in that when rotational force is transmitted from the sleeve to the pulley, both pulleys open, and when rotational force is transmitted from the pulley to the sleeve, both pulleys approach each other.
