PURPOSE:To illuminate a vehicle compartment, effectively in accordance with the purpose of use, by enabling the control mode of two lamps to be changed- over between a condition in which the lighting-on and -off of two lamps are controlled by a door switch and another condition in which both lamps are not lit- on even if the door switch is closed. CONSTITUTION:When a movable contact 17 is turned into a position between stationary contacts 19a, 19b by operating a control lever, both ridges 19a, 19b are made into contact together, and therefore, a first lamp is maintained to be lit-on, irrespective of the turning-on and -off condition of a door switch 21. When the movable contact 17 is turned into a position between stationary contacts 19b, 19c, both lamps 4, 5 are lit-off even if the door switch 21 is closed by opening a door. When the movable contact 17 is turned into a position between stationary contacts 19c, 19d, both first and second lamps 4, 5 are connected to both poles of a power source 20 through the movable contact 17, a coil spring 18, etc., and therefore, the lighting-on and -off of both first and second lamps 4, 5 are controlled in accordance with the opening and closing of the door switch 21.
