Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は木材を均一に染色する目的でなされた木材の染
色法に関まるものである。
従来、木材を染色する場合には染料又は顔料を溶解した
染色水溶液中に木材を浸漬して行うのが公知の技術であ
ったが、この場合に、木材は部分により密度差があり、
その為に粗な部分には染色水溶液がよく浸透して染色さ
れ易い反面、密な部分には染色水溶液の浸透はむつかし
くて染色されにくく、結果として木材を均一に染色する
ことが出来にくいという欠点を有していた。
本発明は上記従来の染色法におけるかかる欠点を解消す
る目的でなされたものである。
本発明は原木を小割りにした木材を水中に浸漬して繊維
飽和点まで含水率を上げたのち、冷凍室に入れて、木材
中の水分を凍結させる、次いで水分を凍結させた該木材
を、冷凍装置を備えた真空室内に投入し、凍結状態のま
まで水分を直接昇華させて乾燥したのち、染料又は顔料
を溶解した染色水溶液中に木材を浸漬して、木材中に染
色水溶液を含浸させる木材の染色法である。
尚、本発明の染色法は原木を切削加工して得られる木質
単板の染色を行う場合にも有効である。
本発明は上記の如く構成され、本発明によれば、充分に
水分を含浸した木材を凍結させると、水分の体積は増加
し、次いで凍結状態のままで水分を昇華するので、水分
の体積を増加した分だけ、木材中によけいな空隙が出来
、空隙が出来た状態で木材を染色溶液中に浸漬するので
、染色溶液は木材中に均一に浸透し、木材を均一に染色
することが出来る効果を有している。
特に密度の高い木材に染色を行う場合に本発明の染色法
は有効である。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １ 木材に充分水分を含浸されたのち凍結させ、次いで
    凍結乾燥を行なったのち染色を行うことを特徴とする木
    材の染色法。
