Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the feeding of even continuous paper or slips under optimum conditions by a method in which a press roller is set at any of the first position where stronger pressure is applied to a platen, the second position where weaker pressure is applied to the platen, and the third position where they are separated from each other by operating of an operation lever. CONSTITUTION:In a printer having a dual inserter and separate insertion ports 11 and 10 for a continuous paper 1 and a single slip 7, pressing forces of a press roller 9 to give back tension to the paper 1 or the single slip 7 against a platen 4 are adjusted for either pressing or separation by turning an operation lever 20. In printing on the continuous paper 1, the press roller 9 is strongly pressed on the platen 4 at the position of the operation lever 20, whereas in printing on the single slip 7, the press roller 9 is strongly pressed on the platen 4 at the position of the operation lever 20'. In setting the continuous paper 1 or the single slip 7, the press roller 9 is separated from the platen 4 by holding the roller 9 at the position of the operation lever 20a.

The continuous paper 1 has perforations at predetermined dimensional intervals for folding and storage. The continuous paper 1 is inserted from the continuous paper insertion slot 11 and is wound around the platen 4 along the continuous paper guide 2, facing the print head 5, and then reversed and moved in the direction of arrow B by the continuous paper feed mechanism 6. Sent. It presses the platen and applies back tension to the continuous paper feed mechanism 6. Since the continuous paper 1 has creases due to perforations, if the back tension is weak, lifting occurs on the surface of the platen 4 facing the print head 5, resulting in a problem of deterioration of print quality. Therefore, the pressing force P by the suppression spring 3 is
A pressing force of 8 degrees is required when feeding continuous paper. On the other hand, when inserting the ticket 7 from the direction of the arrow A in the figure, the ticket 7 inserted from the ticket insertion slot 10 is inserted into the rotation support shaft 1.
2, the paper is sent out along the arrow CK to a position facing the print head 5. At this time, the platen 4 is pressed by the drive unit shown in the figure, and the platen 4 is rotated to eject the cut 7' from the cut insertion opening.

In FIG. 2, a suppression roller 9 is used to apply back tension to the continuous paper 1. Therefore, the first function of the pressing roller 9 is to clamp the continuous paper 1 between the platens 4 and apply pack tension when inserting the continuous paper #'1 to prevent it from floating at the position facing the print head 5. When inserting cut sheet 7 as a second function, jliM
7 is pressed against the platen 4 surface to cause the discharge to occur as the platen 4 rotates. At this time, suppression low 29
As shown in FIG. 3, the rotation position is achieved by switching the operating lever 201 into three stages using the profile of the rotation shaft 21. In other words, when the operating lever 20 is rotated to 20a along the arrow a in FIG.
At 0, which is configured to be positioned at three positions a and 20', the abutting portion 13 of the shaft 14 of the pressing row 2 is always in contact with the lower end of the operating lever 20 due to the force of a spring (not shown).
