Abstract

PURPOSE:To separate stably a wide variety of transfer materials, by providing a roughening means of roughening a surface of a transfer material which contacts an image carrier when supplying the transfer material to the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A roughening member 14 which has, for example, a finely rugged surface is provided atop of a conveyance guide 15 provided between a paper feeding roll 13 and a resist roll 12. Then, the transfer paper P is sent out to a guide 15 by the paper feeding roll 13, but the surface of the transfer paper P contacting a photoreceptor 1 in the guide 15 is roughened properly when sliding on the roughening member 14, and then the material is supplied onto the surface of the photoreceptor 1 through the resist roll 12 and conveyance guide 16. This transferring material P decreases in smoothness, so its adhesion to the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is decreased to separate the material stably by destaticization.

Therefore, it was sometimes difficult to perform stable separation across all transfer materials. In particular, in the case of transfer materials that have deteriorated in smoothness, they have excellent adhesion to the photoreceptor.
On the other hand, there are cases where it is difficult to separate this using only electrostatic force.

In the figure, 13 is a paper feed roller, and 12 is a registration roller. A roughening member 14 (for example, a surface having minute irregularities or sandpaper) is disposed at the tip of the conveyance guide 15 provided between the two. More specifically, the upper guide 15 of the guide 15 consists of the upper and lower guides 1sa*i5b.
A roughening member 14 was provided at the feeding side tip of a. Therefore, the transfer material P is fed to the υ guide 15 by the paper feed roller 15, and when it is rubbed against this guide, the surface of the P is roughened by an appropriate amount. Thereafter, it is supplied onto the surface of the photoreceptor 1 via the registration rollers 12 and the conveyance guide 16. After that, P undergoes a process of transfer and separation, but since the surface of P is rough and its smoothness is reduced, the layerability with the photoreceptor surface is reduced, and the transfer material P is sufficiently stable after static electricity removal. A separation will take place.

2, the upper lawn is slightly roughened on the surface. Therefore, before the transfer material P is conveyed through the conveyance guide 16 to the photoreceptor surface, the surface of the transfer material P that is to be removed from the photoreceptor 1 can be roughened to an appropriate amount, and good separation properties can be obtained. .

FIG. 4 shows an example in which a half-moon-shaped row', 117 whose surface is slightly roughened, is used as a roughening means for the conveyance guide 1511tl. The surface of this half-moon-shaped lawn 170 is constantly moved by the transport guide 15 in synchronization with the passage of the leading edge of the transfer material P.
Waiting in between, the transfer material P is roughened only by the half circumference length of this row 2 from the leading edge. That is, when the leading edge of the transfer material P reaches the position of the container in the figure, the rubbing roller 17 starts rotating in synchronization with this, and when the transfer material P is conveyed to the position indicated by the diagonal line P', the roller 17 also moves to the position N17a. 1st movement, and from now on roller 17
and P are in a non-contact state. Therefore, in this embodiment, only the leading end (shaded area in the figure) of the transfer material P is roughened. In this way, the entire surface of the transfer material will not be unnecessarily roughened, and the adhesion between the tip of P and the photoreceptor 1 will be reduced.
A sufficiently stable separation takes place.

Note that the half-moon-shaped rollers shown above do not necessarily have guide 15.
It is not necessary to provide the roller separately in the transfer system; for example, it is also possible to use a lawn with a roughened surface for supplying the transfer material from the cassette that accumulates the transfer material to the conveyance system.

As described above, the present invention can achieve extremely stable separation by only slightly roughening the surface of the transfer material, and can also be applied to a wide variety of transfer materials.
In particular, it has the effect of stably separating even materials that have excellent smoothness and are difficult to separate conventionally.
