[Detailed explanation of the invention] This invention is made by covering stones such as crushed stone with a covering material made of fertilizer ingredients, fibers, adhesives, etc., and then laying a coated stone material that serves as a drainage and water-retaining fertilizer layer. This invention relates to an underground structure of a lawn area where grass is cultivated by making the topsoil layer thinner than the conventional method and allowing grass roots to extend to a drainage/water-retaining fertilizer layer.

Conventionally, underground structures for lawn areas, especially golf course greens, have drainage pipes arranged in a dendritic manner at the installation location, with a drainage layer such as a gravel layer, fine gravel layer, or sand layer on top, and a lawn above it. The method used is to create several layers of topsoil and grow grass, but this method is complicated, requires large-scale construction, and increases costs.

Then, the topsoil layer should be 3.
Normally, the thickness is 0 cm or more, and the thick topsoil layer is compacted by human treading, etc., which impairs drainage and soil aeration, and has an adverse effect on the growth of grass.

Furthermore, if the topsoil layer is made thinner, there is less room for the grass roots to expand, and this will also have a negative impact on the growth of the grass due to lack of fertilizer, dryness, etc.

This invention makes the topsoil layer thinner than conventional methods and reduces topsoil compaction, drainage, and poor ventilation due to treading pressure, etc., and also prevents the elongation of turf grass roots by using coated stones coated with fertilizer components, etc. to provide drainage and water retention. The purpose is to create a lawn where grass grows vigorously by forming a fertilizer layer and extending grass roots into the layer.

To explain the embodiment of the present invention in conjunction with the drawings, as shown in Figure 2, the coated stone has a water-retaining property on the surface of the stone, such as crushed stone with a grain size of 5 mm to 20 mm (No. 5 to 6 crushed stone). Fertilizer layer,
Fertilizer components, fibers, adhesives, asphalt emulsions, etc. are coated by spraying or the like.

As shown in Figure 1, this coated stone is laid to a thickness of 15 to 25 crn in the underground area where lawns are grown, and is used as a drainage and water-retaining fertilizer layer, and the top is covered with net or fiber. Lay a 5-15 cm layer of topsoil on top and plant grass.

In conventional lawns, the turf root zone is only the surface layer, and the drainage layer has only the function of drainage, but this invention eliminates this division of labor, and the entire created layer becomes an extension of the turf roots.

That is, the topsoil layer serves as the conventional soil for growing turfgrass, and at the same time, its main function is to stabilize the turf surface and retain turfgrass.

In addition, when cutting hole cups, such as on golf course greens, water often stagnates without draining in the conventionally thick topsoil layer, but with the underground structure of this invention, hole cups can be cut. The bottom of the depth reaches the drainage layer, and drainage is quick.
This has the advantage that water does not stagnate like before.
