Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop and move a floating article in space by using attraction force between different poles and repulsive force between the same poles of a suitable number of magnets disposed on a floating article and a suitable number of magnets disposed on a fixed board. CONSTITUTION:A suitable number of permanent magnets M1-M5 are arranged on a nonmetallic floating article 1, with the upper and lower surfaces of the same polarity, and the same number of electromagnets E1-E5 are arranged corresponding to the magnets M1-M5 on a nonmetallic fixed board 2 disposed below the article 1. When an electric current is applied to the central electromagnet E3 to be opposite in polarity to the lower surface of the magnet M, and an electric current is applied to the peripheral electromagnets to be same in polarity as the peripheral permanent magnets, the article 1 is floated and stopped in space at a position where the attraction force S among the dead load of the article 1, the magnet M3 and the electromagnet E and repulsive force R produced between the peripheral permanent magnets and the peripheral electromagnets are balanced. In case of moving the article 1, an electric current applied to all the electromagnets or some of electromagnets is adjusted.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention consists of an appropriate number of magnets placed on a non-metallic item that is desired to be levitated in the air, and a non-metallic fixed plate placed below the item at appropriate intervals. An article that uses the attractive force between different poles and the repulsive force between the same poles with an appropriate number of magnets to levitate the article in the air and keep it stationary, or move it horizontally or vertically in the air. Regarding the floating movement device, if applied to showcases, the display position can be easily changed in the air without having to transfer the stacked display products within the case, and if applied to ride-on toys, etc. To provide a new and useful device for floating and moving objects, which allows objects to be operated and played with fun.
