Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a magnetic circuit by driving a driving coil in the focus direction and that in the tracking direction in the same magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a driving coil 3 in the focus direction and those of a driving coil 4 in the tracking direction are soldered onto a print board 7 and are connected electrically to metallic wires 6 through a copper foil of the print board 7. Lead wires 12 are soldered onto a print board 8 and are connected electrically to metallic wires 6. When a current is supplied to lead wires 12, the current is flowed to the driving coil 3 in the focus direction or the driving coil 4 in the tracking direction through metallic wires 6, and a holder 2 and an object lens 1 are moved in the focus direction or the tracking direction by the electromagnetic action of this current and a magnet 11. Thus, the magnetic circuit is simplified because driving in the focus direction and driving in the tracking direction are performed in the same magnetic circuit.
