Abstract

PURPOSE:To display and distinguish the operating state and failure or the like of a telephone set by inserting a normal current detecting circuit and an overcurrent detecting circuit to a current supply line to the telephone set so as to detect whether or not data transmission/reception is conducted between an output of both detecting circuits and telephone set. CONSTITUTION:The normal current detecting circuit 4 and the overcurrent detecting circuit 5 is inserted to the current supply line at a master set 1 of an electronic key telephone set. A microcomputer 7 is connected to a transformer 6 superimposing a data on the current supply line and conducts various controls for telephone exchange while transmitting and receiving the data with the telephone set 2. The microcomputer 7 receives the output of the normal current detecting circuit 4 and the overcurrent detecting circuit 5 and displays and distinguishes the operating state and failure of the telephone set 2 depending on each state by using a display element 8.

Conventional configuration and its problems Generally, electronic button telephone devices are known in which the current supply line that supplies current to the telephone also serves as a data line that exchanges take with the telephone. In each case, a display element such as a light emitting diode is connected to a current supply circuit that supplies current to the telephone, and the display element indicates that current is being supplied to the telephone. However, with this kind of device, the display element is simply connected to the current supply circuit, so the telephone may malfunction for some reason, or the current IJ (or current supply line itself may malfunction for some reason, resulting in a short circuit). This causes the display element to turn on in the same way as when current is being supplied to the telephone, and there is a problem in that the distinction between these is completely unclear.

In the above embodiment, when the packing machine 2 is normal, the current value flowing therein is a normal value within a predetermined range, and this is detected by the normal current detection circuit 4. . If the telephone 2 is in use in this state, the microcomputer 7 itself will detect this by exchanging data with the telephone 2, and the display element 8 will be displayed as shown in FIG.
Light up continuously as shown in N. If the telephone 2 is not in use, the microcomputer 7 causes the display element 8 to blink at a fast speed as shown in FIG. 2(B) based on the current take. If the exchange of data with the telephone 2 becomes abnormal, the microcomputer 7 will detect this as well, and the microcomputer 7 will change the display element 8 to the second display element.
Blink at a slow speed as shown in figure (q).

If the telephone 2 malfunctions for some reason or the cable 9 malfunctions for some reason and the current supply line is short-circuited, the current flowing through the current supply line will far exceed the normal value within the predetermined range. In particular, a predetermined output appears from the overcurrent detection circuit 5. Therefore, due to this, the microcomputer 7 determines that the current supply line is short-circuited, and causes the display element 8 to blink intermittently as shown in FIG. 2 (1). If this happens, no output will appear from either the normal current detection circuit 4 or the overcurrent detection circuit 5, so the microcomputer 7 will detect that the telephone 2 has been disconnected or the cable 9 has been cut. Then, the display element 8 is turned off as shown in FIG.

In this way, according to the above embodiment, a normal current detection circuit and an overcurrent detection circuit are provided in the current supply line, and the outputs of these detection circuits are used to cause one display element to blink in different states. This is extremely effective for maintenance, servicing, etc., since it is possible to easily detect whether the telephone is in use or not, whether there is an abnormality in the current supply line, etc. by the blinking state of the display element.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above embodiment, the present invention includes a normal current detection circuit that outputs a predetermined signal when the current value flowing in the current supply line is a normal value, and a normal current detection circuit that outputs a predetermined signal when the current value flowing in the current supply line is a normal value. an overcurrent detection circuit that outputs a predetermined signal when the current value exceeds the above normal value; a means for detecting the state of the take exchanged with the telephone; and one of the detection circuits and the detection means. The display device is equipped with a means for lighting each display element in a different state, and it is possible to easily determine whether the telephone is in use, not in use, a malfunction of the telephone, a malfunction of the cable, etc. based on the blinking state of one display element. This is extremely advantageous in practice because it can be displayed easily without the need for many separate display elements.
