Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an acidic detergent composition having a superior effect on soil mixed with scale, by adding an oxycarboxylic acid, an aminocarboxylic acid and a surfactant to an inorg. acid or an acid contg. nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:This acidic detergent composition consists of 0-90pts.wt. inorg. acid such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid or phosphoric acid or acid contg. nitrogen such as sulfamic acid, 5-80pts.wt. oxycarboxylic acid such as oxalic acid, citric acid or tartaric acid, 2-40pts.wt. aminocarboxylic acid such as nitrilotriacetic acid, EDTA or DTPA, and 0.5-15pts.wt. surfactant such as nonionic, anionic or cationic surfactant. Soil such as mineral oil, grease, vegetable oil, animal oil or wax mixed with scale sticking to the surface of a metallic material can be removed with the detergent composition at a low temp. in a short time.

Traditionally, acid cleaning includes (a) pickling, which is used to remove scale that occurs when metal materials are processed or annealed at high temperatures; Washing, Pl Capstone for boilers, etc.? There is acid cleaning to remove rust. In the case of acid cleaning of steel materials, along with the removal of rust scale,
Depending on the conditions, the steel material itself can also be eroded, causing problems such as acid fog, hydrogen zeification, and surface discoloration. In order to prevent this, inhibitors containing N and S in the molecular structure are often used together.
