Abstract

PURPOSE:A rubber composition having good lubricity and suited as a material for rubber articles involving sliding, prepared by mixing natural or synthetic rubber with a composition prepared by suspending a solid lubricant in natural or synthetic rubber. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. natural or synthetic rubber with 5-200pts.wt. solid lubricant composition, wherein said solid lubricant composition is one prepared by suspending a solid lubricant in natural or synthetic rubber. Examples of the synthetic rubbers used include acrylic rubber, nitrile rubber, fluoroelastomer and silicone rubber. Examples of the solid lubricants used include graphite, molybdenum disulfide, talc, and mica. Said solid lubricant composition contains 10-200pts.wt. solid lubricant and 100pts.wt. natural or synthetic rubber.

Therefore, it was considered to wrap the solid lubricant in microcapsules and mix them into the rubber, but in this case too, many of the microcapsules were destroyed by the shear force in J5 during kneading with rolls, intermixers, etc., and the solid lubricant A problem similar to 1r11 arises when directly mixing into rubber.
