Abstract

PURPOSE:To align and store an assigned amount of parts by pushing out parts transported in a fixed posture along a trough onto a guide rod mounted on a holding means by the pushing action of a push-out metal and dropping the part along the guide rod without reversion. CONSTITUTION:Parts 3 fed along a trough 2 are temporarily received by catching pieces 4A, 4B mounted on the forward end of the trough 2, and the parts 3 are pushed downward by a push-out metal 5. The catching pieces 4A, 4B are opened left and right to push out the part 3 onto a guide rod 6, so that the part is dropped along the guide rod 6, not being reversed. At this time, the movement of the following part is stopped by the outside diameter of the lowered push-out metal 5, and when the push-out metal 5 rises, the following part is moved onto the catching pieces 4a, 4B to close the opening portion of the paired catching pieces 4A, 4B. Thus, the following part is held not to drop freely. After an assigned number of parts 3 are pushed out, the up-and-down movement of the push-out metal 5 is once stopped, and a holding means 7 to which a guide rod 6 is fixed is fed out for one pitch by a feed finger 8 to prepare for the next aligning and storing operation.

When attempting to automate processing or assembly of parts, one of the bottlenecks is the work of aligning and supplying materials or parts. Conventional methods include manually aligning and loading the parts into a magazine, or supplying the parts by arranging them on a conveyor or on a sloped bridge, but in either case, Since the alignment work of the parts is done manually, there are problems such as the fact that the entire device cannot be unmanned. Another method for unmanned operation is to install a dedicated parts feeder in the main body of the device to supply parts. Generally, commercially available parts feeders have the ability to supply a large number of parts in a short period of time, but the supply and demand of parts required for processing or one assembly machine is much lower than the parts feeder's capacity. It is normal to be. Therefore, if a dedicated parts feeder is installed for each automated device, the capacity of the parts feeder will be wasted, resulting in expensive equipment costs.

The parts alignment and storage device 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention temporarily collects the parts 3 that are fed by arranging them two-dimensionally in a fixed posture on the gutter z, using a collecting piece 4A provided at the tip of the gutter 2, 4B, and by pushing out the part 3 downward with the extrusion fitting 5, the collection pieces 4A and 4B open left and right, and the part 3 is pushed out onto the guide rod 6. The part 3 falls down the guide rod 6 to the bottom, but it is often turned upside down during the fall. Also.

When extruding the part 3, since the part 3 is pressed against the lower surface of the extrusion fitting 5 by the collection pieces 4A and 4BIF, the front and back sides of the part 3 are not turned over at this point, and the collection piece 4A
, 4B is wider than the outer diameter of the component 3, the tip of the guide rod 6 has already entered the hole of the component 3, so the pressing force f against the lower surface of the extrusion fitting 5 is not applied. Also, it is difficult to turn part 3 upside down. Further, when the push-out metal fitting 5 is lowered, its outer diameter stops the movement of the next part 3'. Only when the extrusion fitting 5 reaches the rising end does the next part 3' become the collection piece 4A.

4B, and the collecting pieces 4A and 4B close the opening at the same time as the extrusion fitting 5 rises, so that the parts 3'
does not fall freely. In other words, a part is extruded every time the extrusion fitting 5 moves up and down, so if you count the previous downward movement of the extrusion fitting, you can know the number of parts pushed out to the guide rod 6. Calculate in advance how many thicknesses of parts 3 can be stored depending on the length,
When the number of movements of the extrusion metal fitting 5 reaches that number, the vertical movement of the extrusion metal fitting 5 is temporarily stopped, and the time keeping device 7 with the guide rod 6 attached is sent out by one pitch by the feeder or claw 8.
Thereafter, it is sufficient to restart the vertical movement of the extrusion fitting 5, and 9 in Fig. 1 is a guide.
