Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and the power consumption by providing an illumination lamp in a plug-side connector with a cable or an adapter attached to this connector to illuminate an operation panel surface with one illumination lamp. CONSTITUTION:A plug-side connector 11 with a cable 10 is provided with an illumination lamp 14 such as a lamp, a light emitting diode, or the like whose projection window 13 is directed to the surface of an operation panel 2. A power source is connected to the illumination lamp 14 through connectors 8 and 11. Though a switch 15 for illumination which is inserted to a power supply circuit of the illumination lamp 14 is provided in the plug-side connector 11, this switch 15 can be omitted. If the switch 15 for illumination is not provided, the illumination lamp 14 is lit when a power switch of a radio machine 1 is turned on; and if the switch 15 for illumination is provided, the switch 15 for illumination is turned on to light the illumination lamp 14 when it is necessary to illuminate the peripheral part darkly, and the overall surface of the operation panel 2 is illuminated by lighting of the illumination lamp 14.
