Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption and to prolong the service life of a battery by providing a light emitting diode and a liquid crystal display device and using only the liquid crystal display device as an indicator when the telephone set is carried. CONSTITUTION:The indicator of a light emitting diode 22 is not lighted when the telephone set is carried and only a liquid crystal display device is used. Moreover, the display device 21 is always lighted when the telephone set is mounted and the diode 22 acts like an indicator representing the display content and the status by its lighting. Since the diode 22 is lighted when the telephone set is mounted, the visual angle is wide and observed easily.
