Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate the warning of freezing accurately by providing an infrared-ray detecting means which detects infrared rays from the road surface right under a vehicle and generates an infrared-ray signal, and a means which receives the signal from the detecting means and judges the freezing state of the road surface. CONSTITUTION:The infrared-ray sensor 1 is provided to the lower part of the vehicle and detects infrared rays from the road surface right under the vehicle. Further, an outside air temperature sensor 2 detects the temperature of the air outside of the vehicle. An A/D converter 3 converts the detection signals from the infrared-ray sensor 1 and outside air temperature sensor 2 into digital signals. When the outside air temperature is lower than 10 deg.C, infrared-ray data is inputted in a step 103 from the infrared-ray sensor 1 through the A/D converter 3, and a decision whether the road surface is at the freezing temperature or not is made in a step 104. Consequently, the road temperature is detected accurately under less influence of the sunshine.

り安定化電源回路を介した安定化電源の供給を受けて作
動状態になり、第3図に示す演算処理を実行する。

/D変換器3を介して赤外線データを入力し、ステップ
104に進んでその赤外線データにより路面が凍結に対
する所定温度以下であるか否かを判定する。路面が凍結
状態であることを判定すると、ステップ105に進んで
表示点灯指令を表示器6に保持して発生し“路面凍結注
意”なる文字を点灯表示させる。しかし、ステップ10
4にて路面が凍結状態でないことを判定すると、ステッ
プ106に進んで表示器6への表示点灯指令の発生を解
除する。従って、上記処理を繰り返し実行することによ
り、路面が凍結していれば、表示器(4) 6に“路面凍結注意”なる文字を点灯表示させ、路面が
凍結していなければ、その表示を消灯させる。
