    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. シリンダブロックにはタイミングギヤおよびタイミング
    ベルトを覆うフロントカバーが取り付けられ、該フロン
    トカバーにはクランク軸貫通孔が穿設されており、該ク
    ランク軸貫通孔よりクランク軸が突出し、該クランク軸
    の先端にはクランクプーリが取り付けられているエンジ
    ンであって、前記フロントカバーのうち該クランクプー
    リと相対向する部分は二重構造とされ、該二重構造部分
    において、各々の板の間には、連通路を介してのみ大気
    と連通ずる空洞が設けられており、該連通路！よその有
    効流路断面積が絞られ、かつ、該連通路は前記クランク
    プーリの周縁と相対向する位置に設けられていることを
    特徴とする低騒音エンジン。
