Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 脂の高周波溶着方法に関する。
近年、熱可塑性樹脂成形品の意匠設計の自由化、高度化
が進み、複数の熱可塑性樹脂成形品を溶着して複合する
方法も採用されている。溶着方法としては、高周波溶着
方法、スピン溶着方法、超音波溶着方法、バット溶着方
法、熱風溶着方法などが知られており、成形品形状、溶
着後の成形品外観などの事情により適宜選択されている
これらの溶着方法の中では、特殊な形状品、大型品の密
封溶着が短時間で容易にできることから高周波溶着方法
が特に官能基を有するポリ塩化ビニル樹脂において広く
行なわれており、他の樹脂においても針金のような金属
を挿入し高周波をかけ、金属を発熱させながら成形品を
押圧することによって溶着している。
ところがこの場合、金属と樹脂との溶着力不良のため徐
々に溶着部が剥がれるという問題があった。本発明はか
かる問題を解決するものであり、その要旨は、加熱源と
して接着性物質を被覆した金属を用いることを特徴とす
る熱可塑性樹脂の高周波溶着方法、である。
本発明における熱可塑性樹脂は高周波溶着可能な広きに
わたシ、高密度ポリエチレン、低密度ポリエチレン、ポ
リプロピレン、ポリスチレン、ポリ塩化ビニル、ボリア
ミド、エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体、ポリエチレンテレ
フタレート、ABs樹脂、AS樹脂などが挙げられる。
接着性物質は、熱可塑性樹脂及び金属に対して接着性を
有するものでちり、接着性樹脂、接着剤が挙げられ、特
に非極性熱可塑性樹脂には接着性樹脂が好適であり、た
とえば無水マレイン酸のような不飽和カルボン酸で変性
したポリオレフィンが使用できる。接着性物質の金属へ
の被覆方法としては、流動浸漬法、押出被覆法などが採
用できる。
れ、従来のような剥離現象が解決され、本発明は家庭用
品、家電部品、自動車部品などに適用できる。
以下に実施例、比較例を挙げて本発明をさらに詳細に説
明する。
実施例1、比較例1 メルトフローレート7 g/ 10mu1のポリプロピ
レンを用いて隔壁二重構造の保温弁当箱本体を得べく、
外寸2]Omm、 X 150 mm X 60m (
高さ)で肉厚は一様に2mm0下底と、開口縁から巾1
2rnmの張出部と張出部外縁に高さ10mmの脚部を
有し開口部は内寸180 mm X 120 mm X
 50mm (高さ)で肉厚は一様に2mraの上底を
射出成形した。
下底は側壁端面に、上面に4mm(巾)X5myx(深
さ)の溝を有する下向きにチャンネル徒チばを嵌合し、
この溝と前記脚部との間に接着性樹脂としてメルトフロ
ーレー) 1 jj 710m1nのポリプロピレン1
.00重量部と無水マレイン酸06重量部を有機過酸化
物の存在下で混合溶融して得た変性ポリオレフィンを0
.2 mm厚に溶融浸漬法により被覆した2mm1鉄製
針金を挿入して高周波溶着した。
2日後に溶着強度を測定したところ180 k!9 /
 aiを示し、また比較のため被覆のない針金を用いた
他は同様に行なったが溶着強度は120 k17 / 
CnLにとどまった。
なお高周波溶着条件及び引張条件は次の通り(他側も同
じ)である。

c/Iのポリエチレンを、接着性樹脂としてメルトフロ
ーIy −) 20 g/ H)mi!+のポリエチレ
ン100重量部と無水マレイン酸03重量部を有機過酸
化物の存在下で混合溶融して得た変性ポリオレフィンを
用いた他は同様に行なったところ、溶着強度は150k
g/dを示した。
寸た比較のため被覆のない針金を用いた他は同様に行な
ったが溶着強度は80 kg/ caにとどまった。
実施例3、比較例3 実施例1に対してポリプロピレンにかえて酢酸ビニル含
量10重量係、メルトインデックス10g/10m1n
のエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体を、接着性樹脂として酢
酸ビニル含量07重量係、メルトインテックス7 g/
 1(1mi++のエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体100
重量部と無水マレイン酸03重量部を有機過酸化物の存
在下で混合溶融して得た変性エチレン酢酸ビニル共重合
体を用いた他は同様に行なつたところ、溶着強度は10
0 kg/’iを示(7た。
また比較のため被覆のない針金を用いた他は同様に行な
ったが溶着強度は65kg/fflにとど寸った。
