Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

It is fitted into an engine casing formed by covering both sides of a rotor housing having an inner circumferential surface of the ebitrochoid with a pair of side housings, and penetrates through the engine casing while the top side of the rotor housing is in sliding contact with the inner circumferential surface of the ebitrochoid. The rotor has a substantially triangular shape and is planetarily rotated around an eccentric shaft provided on the side housing. An oil seal holder having a seal receiving groove is installed, and an annular seal ring that slides on the inner surface of the side housing is mounted on the oil seal holder, and an oil tightness is maintained between the seal ring and the seal receiving groove. A rotor for a rotary piston engine, in which an oil seal member consisting of an auxiliary seal for holding and a backup spring for urging the seal ring toward the inner surface of the side housing is assembled, the internal gear being attached to an outer peripheral portion thereof. The internal gear is fixed to the rotor by positioning the flange formed on the gear mounting part on the side surface of the rotor using a mounting member such as a spring pin, and furthermore, the internal gear has a flange formed on the outside so as to cover the mounting member. The oil seal member is installed in the oil seal receptacle groove with the auxiliary seal in contact with the annular peripheral wall while the oil seal holder is fixed in the oil seal member.
