Abstract

PURPOSE:To save useless telephone call and ineffective holding of line by detecting the inversion of polarity of a telephone line at the automatic response of a facsimile device to sense hook-on of a handset at a caller, miss-transmission and open telephone line. CONSTITUTION:When a ringing tone is detected by a 16Hz detecting circuit 1, a relay 3 is turned on by an automatic response control circuit 2 to change over the line to the FAX position thereby bringing the mode into the receiving state. Then, a signal representing a function of a receiver is fed periodically while confirming the polarity of line by a polarity inversion detecting circuit 4 and awaits a signal from a transmission side. When a signal comes from the transmission side, the signal is received but if the signal is not incoming within a prescribed time, a telephone call is executed by a telephone calling circuit 5. When the polarity of line is inverted on the way after the automatic response, it is discriminated that open line occurs, the holding of line is stopped immediately to avoide the holding of an ineffective line.

送信ミスの時などでも、無駄な電話呼出しや無駄な回線
保持をしてしまう欠点がある。

説明する。ファクシミリ装置の受信側の動きとしてはま
ず16Hz検出回路1により、リンギングトーンを検出
すると自動応答制御回路2によりCMLリレー3をON
し、回線をFAX側に切シ換え、受信状態にする(自動
応答)。この後、転極検知回路4によ多回線の極性を確
認しながら受信機の機能を示すNSF、C8I、DIS
の信号を定期的に送り、送信側からの信号を待つ。
